I think Ice Cream will be an update of Honeycomb instead of gingerbread, so will have a higher number at 3.0

I just can't see Ice Cream at 2.4. It is like why bother using the old GUI when you have the awesome honeycomb which has already been confirmed that it will be able to run on mobiles and also the direction Android will be heading.

henceforth, Ice Cream Sandwich = ICS. agreed?
good.
I'm not sure if it'll be an update to Honeycomb or Gingerbread. Have we seen Honeycomb on a phone yet? I'd like to see that.
Either way, 2.4 is coming at Google's I/O in the Summer

+1

When I saw the name confirmed I though, "That's not an OS name, it's a keyboard calibration exercise!" Sheesh Google, that's almost 13% of a Tweet.... ;)

keyboard calibrations - sends you all over the keyboard to calibrate where letters are presented vs where your touch was sensed.

Can't do that with a single word - unless it's a doozy, I guess.

Nope.

Ice cream sandwich :p

ICS is already Internet Connection Sharing.

oh yeah... damn. Well I'll just shorten it to Ice Cream then, there is no way I'm saying or writing Ice Cream Sandwich every time I want to refer to it, it's a ridiculously long name
