Another 4.3 update?

So yesterday morning my n7 has a new update. It was already on 4.3. Update says 4.3 again at a small 1.7 mb. Went from jwr66v to jwr66y. Anyone know what this was?

It was a security update. You won't notice anything different, but your device is safer now as a result.

I got it, and my Nexus 7 is rooted. I had to upgrade SuperSU on the last one, but it went well and I've been running great. However, this latest small 4.3 update will not install:

and wouldn't you know it, now ROM Manager will not fix permissions. Any thoughts? Others successfully install this update on a Rooted Nexus 7?

I was rooted prior to 4.3.1 update on my nexus 7 2013. Now after update I'm no longer rooted SuperSU says no such binaries etc. I flash SU again through Tarp and still nothing. Any suggestions?

Chavo -- Reinstall SuperSu via ClockWorkMod Install from zip. Put the latest SuperSUXxxXX.zip in /sdcard/0 then in CWM install from Zip, scroll down to find the SuperSU.zip. Install it. Reboot. that should do it. Not sure how it happened. I had it happen when I reverted to a NANDROID I made before the failed install of 4.3.tweak (whatever, steveu64, I know, not 4.3.1, but not 4.3, so 4.3.somethingnewer ha ha).

You might try typing 'Supersu 1.51' into a search engine. You may find what you are looking for.
And TWRP will flash the update perfectly well also.

I have the same error and can't install this small update either. Did you find a resolution? I even unrooted and it wouldn't install. Tried with CWM and TWRP, and via Wug's toolkit installer. Same result each time. I'd never had an issue like this before. Neall

Well, SOMETHING wasn't original in my /system directory. NO idea what. I simply restored /system only from a previous nandroid, and the update went fine.

I think JSS15Q (for the new N7) was also possibly supposed to fix the issues it was having

My Nexus 7 is rooted and has TWRP recovery. No custom ROM. The original 4.3 OTA update went perfectly; I just had to reroot afterward. But the new update, which is much smaller, bombed. It seemed to be going well until all of a sudden Mr. Android Man was on his back next to a big ERROR, and when I rebooted I was still on JWR66V. I decided to revert to standard recovery and try again, but was no longer offered the OTA. So I used WUG's toolkit to flash the JWR66Y system partition (first flash I've ever done) and rerooted and all was well.

There's a problem with SuperSU version 1.51 that prevents complete, successful installation of the OTA. There a flashable, post-installation fix available. My solution, however, since I didn't install a custom recovery, was to just un-root, install the OTA, then re-root. This time, I used Superuser, although a future SuperSU update could fix the problem.
