Another clue to the evo pricing game

Yeah lol I was just on my daily desperate hunt for more evo news and figured I'd share this, a $200 price point would have me buying phones for my parents too. Would be awesome

The EVO will probably be $199-249 but 95% of the info on ozcarguide.com (at least for tech news) is completely made up. I have seen them even re-release news articles and add wrong info (probably gets more views when they make it up to what people want to hear).

well the more sources we hear the number from, the clearer the picture looks (hopefully not leaving us all severely disappointed when the official numbers are announced). i didnt mean to paint your post as pointless, just wanted to comment on the problem with the article :)

Im hoping all the final details will be released at the NYC party they are having for it in May. I would put money on this being the price.

Best Buy has received no information about release date or pricing for the EVO. There hasn't even been so much as a mention of it in our employee news. Anything a BB employee says is just speculation.

No offense, but any posts linking to ozcwhateveritis should be deleted, and the poster should receive a message telling them about how terrible that site is :\.

Chances are it will indeed be $199-249 after all relevant rebates if you are a new customer or Premier upgrade. Ozcar just reprints rumors to drive traffic but this is all based on speculation and the price of similar devices and market trends.

Im new here so, Hi, LOL.

I Don't Care If The Evo Is Worth More Than My House Or If It's Worth $199, I'm Just Going To Buy It! I've Been Googling (Or However You Say It) New HTC Phones For Sprint, HTC Supersonic, HTC Evo 4G, HTC Evo 4G Price and Release Date For More Than 6 Months Just To Figure Out That I Can't Afford It? No, That's Not Going To Happen! I NEED That Phone!

The 199.99 price sounds right, it competes against itself practically versus the HD2 on T-Mobile which is also priced at 199.99 and the Incredible. Expect Sprint stores to sell it for 299.99 with 100 mail in rebate but most of us will go to Best Buy anyway.

Exactly. Plus why the hell would a Geek Squad agent know more info about a phone than the guys working over in Mobile selling the phones?
He does however have pretty good odds of guessing it correctly though.

I thought HTC Supersonic was the project codename for the Evo 4G?
