Help Another Kies thread

I am now getting "This version of the device cannot be updated."

My current firmware is PDA:KE2/PHONE:KDJ/CSC:KD1(XEU)

Is this the current version?

Any ideas on the error?

yes KE2 is the latest update

They're reporting over at XDA-Developers that Samsung has withdrawn the KE2 update because of some problems with it on some carriers. Since it was withdrawn, Kies has no current knowledge of its existence and gives the "update not possible" message.

XDA reports that a KE3 is expected in the next day or two, at which time Kies would presumably let you install it.

I'm on KDD and trying to update to KE1 but I'm caught in a continuous loop trying to update.

I press update, check I agree, skip backup, and the phone reconnects and we start again.

Any ideas?
