Another new boost phone??????

hmm looks interesting. I thought about about getting the transform ultra but its just not enough of a difference that it makes me want to bail on my prevail. I am waiting until they get something like virgins motorla triumph. I want a mac daddy bigger screen with lots of internal memory. I am glad to see boost adding to there android line up.

Looking at the pictures, there is a red dot next to the earpiece where a front facing cam is usually located on other phones. Can anyone confirm if this is a front facing cam, an indicator light or possibly something else?

If boost didnt have that new policy of making us give up our old pay amount if we upgraded, I would go ahead and upgrade.

more specs can be found at a site l look at when i want to know about new phones.
this is not spam just if you want to see more specs. I go look up new phone specs at phonearena.com

Yeah, I use phonearena as well. I honestly want to get it, the ZTE Warp has a huge screen in comparison to the prevail and that is my biggest issue with the prevail.

No video chat camera . That sux ! You would think that the Boost top of the line Android would have that .

Yeah, but I doubt this is the end of the line for Androids on Boost. The prevail was a typical entry level, then they introduced the ultra with qwerty, and now a mid level with the ZTE Warp. I have a feeling within a year we will be seeing a really nice upper-mid class Android that will be just a little worse than the Galaxy S2. Just have to give it a little time.

The ZTE Warp is a really good competetor for the Triumph.

I may upgrade after the holidays, the Prevail is only 130 dollars on amazon, I may pick up this phone if it drops below 200 in a couple of months.

Are you talking going from non smartphone ---> smartphone? Going from a Prevail to an Ultra / Warp wouldn't affect shrinkage, would it?

Boost sent out an email/text a month ago, if previous Prevail owners stick with their Prevail we will not have to pay the new $5 Android fee.

If at any time you upgrade to a new Android you will have to pay the extra $5 tacked on to wherever your shrinkage amount lies.

the text I got said I could upgrade without the extra tacked on, at least that is how I read it, I thought a guy on the forum upgraded but he had to have a customer service put his old plan code in or they would have charged him the upgrade.

The post i am thinking of said they dropped his shrinkage and he called to have it reinstated, $5 fee tacked on.

I am hoping I am wrong on this issue.

A couple of peeps upgraded already, do any of the upgraders have a definitive answer?

If you stay with the Prevail your plan will stay the same. If you switch to one of their new Android phones your monthly price will jump $5 a month but you will keep your shrinkage rate. If you're already paying $35 a month with Shrinkage and you switch phones you will now be paying $40 a month. Thats the lowest it will go on the new Android plan.

i want it but im not going to pay $5 more if im not going to get reception like with my prevail.cuz then boost wont give me a refund.some one should email boost and ask them to make sure if it goes up ot stays the same. everything of this phone is better than what the prevail has. bigger screen, better camera, android 2.3
