[Answered] Any idea if Sprint Galaxy Note II will have Arabic support?

I've been wanting to get a Galaxy Note II since I first heard of it a few months back. One of the things that has me worried about it is that one of my friends has a Galaxy S III, and his phone doesn't support Arabic naturally. Does anyone know if the standard (non-International) US Galaxy Note II on Sprint will have Arabic support?

If not, I believe I read somewhere that Cyanogenmod will not be officially supported on the Galaxy Note II. Does anyone know if this is true or not. If it's supported, this won't be a problem, as Cyanogenmod will add in Arabic support. I'd rather not lose all Samsung's nice features, which I assume switching to an unofficial cyanogenmod would result in, so it'd be nice to just have Arabic officially supported by Samsung.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Got my Galaxy Note II today. Arabic is somewhat supported. You can visit Arabic websites, read emails, read texts, etc. without any problems, but you're unable to type in Arabic or have your phone's default language Arabic out of the box. To be able to type in Arabic, you can download Swiftkey, or a number of other keyboards that support Arabic, from the Play Store. I haven't come across a solution to get the whole phone in Arabic.

EDIT 2: I guess that I saw that Arabic wasn't supported by the entire operating system and assumed it wasn't supported by the keyboard either. I just found out that if you go into Settings>Language and input and click the cog next to the Samsung Keyboard, you can download a ton of other languages. Not only does it have Arabic support, but it also has Arabic handwriting supported as well.

I ordered my Galaxy Note II online today, so it should get here by next Wednesday or so. Now that a handful of you have American Galaxy Note 2s, can anyone confirm if Arabic is supported by default?

no offense but i hope it doesn't support it

16gb is small enough

don't need space wasted on foreign languages which are useless to me

Don't be self centered. If there were less software differences between phones and hardware differences, updates would be faster for everyone everywhere.

Wow. Not like language support uses up a lot of space, but also language support is one area Android is lacking compared to Apple. I hope they step it up.
Beat me to it. There are TONS of languages that are supported on cyanogenmod with my Nexus S 4G, and I never have any issues with space. That doesn't even have expandable storage. The Note II does. You can add 64 GB to it for like $70 shipped from Newegg, so the issue of "more languages take up space" is pretty much a non-issue.

Carriers should allow downloadable language packs.

That would be nice too. Although, I think it'd be more up the the manufacturers.

Alright, I have an answer for my question as my Galaxy Note II came in today. (Shipped to me faster than I would have been able to get to the nearest Sprint store!) The phone does and does not support Arabic. It supports it enough that you're able to say, visit bbc.co.uk/arabic, and have the words appear all disjointed and irregular, but it's not supported in that you can't set the default language of the phone to Arabic. The standard keyboard also doesn't support Arabic, but you can download Swiftkey from the market and type in Arabic. I was planning on using my phone mostly in English anyway, but I wanted to be able to read and write Arabic, so it's perfect for me. However, if you need the entire phone to be in Arabic, it won't work right out of the box.
