Ok, So I Got The Metro Ascend, Rooted..And Running CM7. Runs Good And Everything.. Just Wondering If There Is Any Other Apps For Anything Else I Might Need Thats Good.. I Also Got SDBooster, And One More I Forgot About Lol. Am I Always Gonna Be Runnin "1x" ?.. Just Wanting To Make The Best Out Of My Phone.

Here's a couple you'll like:
1) SD MAID:Try out the free version & you'll probably opt for the paid version.If you're computer/tech savvy,you may be able to perform the functions of this app using your computer.However,this app is easy to use & lightweight enough to keep on your phone.
2) MASQED CRUSADER:Helps w/data connections both 1X/3G & WI-FI + has an ad block option.VERY NICE APP.
BTW,I also used an SDcard boosting app(SD SPEED INCREASE).Worked VERY WELL,however, this build(05212011) already has SD boost built in,so,you could probably shed the SD BOOSTER app.
Okay thank you i used the sd one and free'd up some stuff.. like 38 things were Found. Thank you.

ya do know that CM7 does what setcpu does u just dont have to bother with the settings? Just set your min/max in Cyanogenmod Settings >Performance >CPU Settings.

Same here,except I use CPU BOOST.Glad you piped in TOKENPOKE.You reminded me of a question I wanted to ask:
1) Does using an add-on CPU app cause conflict/battery drain by competing w/the stock CPU controls?I'm guessing the added profiles will actually help since the stock CPU controls lack some of the tweaks that CPU BOOST & SET CPU have.THANK YOU.

Just found another app that may be of use:
PERIODIC AUTO SYNC:You can set the frequency & duration of AUTO-SYNC w/this app.Been looking for this function for quite some time.Battery savings & having the convenience of AUTO SYNC.No more choosing one or the other,we can all have both now,hopefully.Giving it a one week test drive to observe any noticeable battery life improvement.Will post my findings here next weekend.

Mine is screaming fast using the stock 2.1.1
I use Z4 Root, then Titanium Back Up Pro, got rid of all the crap ware that metro stuffs on the phone.
Then i use Set CPU, SD Increase, and Android Assistant.
With all of that mine screams along very nicely.
Now with that in mind its no where as fast as CM6 or CM7, but i personally was having battery draining problems with both of those.
I have not tried Icaurus, But from what i hear it is very fast based on the 2.1.1 build.

Yeah,GOOGLE BOOKS can be deleted. Probably anything in GAPPS,other than MARKET, would be safe to keep off the phone.
As far as system apps included in the CM7 ROM zip file, I'd make a backup of your existing ROM, download a fresh copy of CM7 & GAPPS & then experiment with what is safe to delete.You might want to check the STICKIES posted @ the beginning of the forums for reference as to what is safe to delete.

and also you might exp late mms/sms, calls and emails, from having atk, and green power premium depending on your setting, it shuts off data, and data is what you need...
