Any chance 3vo has instant rebate with Sprint?

What will the pricing structure be with Sprint?

With Sprint premier customers getting to order their 3vo's on the 21st, do you think that there is any chance that the phone will be $199.99 with instant rebate or $299.99 with $100 mail in rebate. I personally hate mail in rebates, so this is a big concern of mine as to whether I order it online through Sprint or wait a couple of days and order it through third party. What do you guys think?
 
There will be some sort of "mail in" rebate that will mean they will be holding your money for a few weeks.

FYP - Took about 3 months last time I got a rebate from Sprint and that was with the Sprint Sales Person submitting it and giving me bi-weekly text updates of the status of the thing.

Thats ridiculous. Last time mine took about 4 weeks.
 
An instant rebate would be pretty awesome but I've never known Sprint to do that. It's always been MIR that's why I've been using best buy or Amazon for the past few years for my upgrades.

I'm a little skeptical -- $199 after $200 in instant savings means the off-contract price would be only $399? I think there's got to be some more rebates (instant or otherwise) they're not specifying here.
 
It has been longer than a few months. Sprint has been doing instant rebates since at least the HTC Hero and possibly before that. They have a ending date on it that typically ends before a new phone is released (which is one of the reason the 6/4 was a thought as a release date) and then extended until the next big phone release. I am sure it will end at some point but not anytime soon.

very good question... $399 to be off-contract might be considered worthwhile to some...

No I meant the Hero. When it released a year and a half ago, I didn't wait for a mail-in rebate. I did when I got the stupid Samsung Instinct but not for the Pre (which I returned 3 weeks later) or for the Hero.

How someone else from another forum looked at it, which made sense to me, is that they claim it will be $199 (which most likely includes a 2-yr upgrade or new line activation), which would ultimately mean it was $349 (prior to the 150 instant savings for the 2-yr upgrade). And after the instant savings, the off contract price would be $549. Maybe they were wrong (which would mean I'm wrong lol). But that seems like the most logical outcome.

It makes sense after checking out the NS4G price on Sprint. They claim it's $199 after instant saving. And requires a new activation or 2-yr upgrade.
 
I did Sprint Chat, posted in another forum. The rep said if you qualify for the $150, then the phone would be $200 with no MIR. So we will see.

If you qualify for the $150, you are qualified for a full upgrade... which means that you get new customer pricing. That means The $150 off, then the $200 in extra savings, and then the $200 pricetag for 2-yr upgrade (or 1 year premier gold upgrade) or new customer pricing. Leaving off-contract at $550.

Thats interesting, because I upgraded my Wife's line to the HTC Arrive on 4-1-11 and they billed my account the $299(+ taxes of course) and I had to use the MIR to get my $100 back. So am I excluded from the Instant Rebate for some reason, or is this something you have to request at purchasing?

That is strange indeed. All phones online currently have it all bundled as instant savings. And yes after looking the Arrive did launch with a Mail in Rebate

HTC Arrive is Sprint's first Windows Phone 7 device, launches March 20th for $200 -- Engadget
