Any Chance for 2011 release in U.S.?

Is there even a slightest chance that Samsung Galaxy Note might come to AT&T or U.S. carrier just in time for Christmas?

Any small rumor would be fine. :D

Why AT&T and not Verizon? I think the Samsung site lists 4G LTE, or is that only for AT&T?

It did pass thru the FCC with AT&T bands so there's definitely a possibility. Plus Samsung hasn't explicitly said it's not coming to the US so that's always encouraging. Usually when phones aren't coming to the US the manufacturers usually say so upfront. Besides if the Note does well overseas then I think we will probably see other similar size phones like the Note in 2012.

Well, Verizon got the Galaxy Nexus, Droid RAZR and HTC Rezound. On top of the iPhone 4S of course.

I don't think they really have room for the Galaxy Note at this point.

I also hope it does well overseas but hope to get mine in a couple of days'

That's what I am counting on.

If it's wildly popular in Europe and Asia (India and Korea) and carriers realize how many people are importing the international version, they will definitely try to get into the game and offer it for $299 with 2 year contract.

It's such a waste to put down 700-800 dollars on a single mobile device. But I am very tempted to import the Galaxy Note if AT&T is forcing us to wait more than 3 months.

Try 900 or a 1000 for it..expansys usa has it for preorder for 954.00 ..yikes!

If it comes to Sprint I'll probably sell my 3vo and accessories and get it. I dunno if that'll happen though. :(

seems like it'd be right up Sprint's alley. they like the gimmicky phones (kickstands, dual screens, etc.) "the largest 4g android phone in the US..........on sprint." maybe it'll be sprint's first LTE phone around June?

I wouldn't want to wait that long personally, as by then it'll be behind the curve. Hopefully they release it earlier next year.

yeah if anything... Samsung will release Galaxy Note "S" or something by middle of next year.

Either that... a competitive alternative device will surface and give Note a run for its money.

I am hoping HTC or Sony makes a similar device.

Just popping in to say that I have confirmed that the note will release in the US, I believe by the end of December.

I will not have a chance to play with this one like I did the SGS2 and the Celox/Skyrocket...but my source did confirm US release.

If this is true, then that's great news.

Please let us know if you find out more!

THANKS!!!!!!! :D

Would you happen to know the carrier??

So assuming the Note does come to the US, does anyone see it having subsidized pricing with a plan? Trying to figure out if its a waste of money ordering now if it may be discounted with a plan here in the states. Or does this seem like the type of device that's going to be priced the same no matter what?

I'm sure they'll subsidize it, though I wouldn't expect it to be less than 200 bucks, that's for sure.

Agreed.

Galaxy S2 subsidized was $199

So... guessing it's gonna be $299 with 2 year contract

I wouldn't be surprised if it's $349.99 or $399.99 but considering that its retail isn't all that different from other high-end phones. Plus it's 16 GB and the specs aren't all that different from the S2.

It's sad how much I'm debating just throwing down the $900 and getting the phone now. I'm passing the point of wanting this phone, and have approached the state of NEEDING this phone.

I've been going through the iPhones since launch in 2007 and I'm craving something different. This phone does it for me.

Clove sent me an email this morning letting me know the white verision will be in in Decemeber. At this point I don't think I can even wait that long, may just get the blue/black....

I think there is a reason why Verizon is getting these first shots. Their Network, esp 4G LTE, blows away or at least beats all the others. The Note appeals to an entirely different group of people with a screen area close to twice what my BlackBerry Storm 2 has so I don't see VZW letting it slip away unless they get a better version with ICS & SAmoled +

Whose to judge about the money, that's for you only. What breaks all the conventions of price and Fair Market Value theories, is your compulsion to have it now even b4 the comments...but someone has to be the first! So, I'm grateful.

I want the Note too and I also want it sooner than later because the later you wait, the longer you'll have to let new technology go by for your next upgrade. But everything evens out because waiting could mean more tweaking and less problems.

My issue is if VZW gets a Note type phone in June/July, that's too long for me as my eyes are already tired from the small BlackBerry screen and the last thing I want is a tablet.

this is what I am afraid of also. I really want the Note and am willing to go to ATT (currently on Sprint now) but I'll feel like crap if it shows up on VZ sometime in 2012. Especially if HTC or Moto come out with a similar screen size with ICS and no capacitive buttons!! How sweet would that be!

I hope you are correct cause that would be music to my ears. My Evo 4G is getting very long in the tooth and the constant reboots/fastboots are getting on my last nerve!

[Edited: sorry totally missed your last line about consulting with your source - now I know what you mean by confirmed]

Unfortunately I don't think I could ever go back to AT&T. Network was a big mess and they're way too expensive. Hopefully Sprint gets this (the white one plz!) and I can dive right into that.

Well, AT&T may not be great but I am going to keep them because of the unlimited thing.

Thought about switching over to Verizon for the Nexus but my S2 is sufficient while I wait for the Galaxy Note.

Ahhh... Hopefully, they release it in U.S., Japan or Korea. Any of those countries, I can ask a friend or family to get it for me.

 I HATE THIS WAIT!!!

I hear you about Unlimited Data but will there come a time when that goes away, even for those of us loyal customers? I never read the contract but are we guaranteed unlimited data as long as we stay with a given carrier?

I wonder how much Verizon makes on the sale of phones and would they rather have subscribers keep their old phones than buy new ones and extend their plan, especially considering unlimited data when they aren't jumping anyway?
