Any Chance for 2011 release in U.S.?

I hear you about Unlimited Data but will there come a time when that goes away, even for those of us loyal customers? I never read the contract but are we guaranteed unlimited data as long as we stay with a given carrier?

I wonder how much Verizon makes on the sale of phones and would they rather have subscribers keep their old phones than buy new ones and extend their plan, especially considering unlimited data when they aren't jumping anyway?

Yeah if we stay with AT&T on our next upgrade, they "grandfather" in our previous plan which includes the OLD unlimited data and text plan. If you use your smartphone a lot that's a huge benefit and deciding factor for staying with AT&T or whatever carrier.

I am not sure if AT&T would risk pissing off their loyal customers by making that kind of change. It's not like they have the best lineup of phones right now. I think Verizon putting out the Big 3 phones from Samsung, HTC and Motorola gives them the edge in terms of choice.

Verizon and any other carrier probably makes a ton of money by selling as many high-end smartphones they can. Sure, the subsidized price is a lot lower than the supposed retail price (which is ridiculously high) but they will definitely make it up by having you pay $100-200 per month for 2 years. IMO, they charge us over $100 on a service that they technically can provide for a lot less. It's not like it's regulated or anything. But they gotta make profit to keep giving us high speed networks so w/e.
