Root Any Changes in G firmware?

I don't really see any visible changes except a new folder icon and the hangouts app.
Also the OS is still 4.0.4. So probably security updates, bug fixes and optimizations were installed Does anybody notice anything different?

it seems that this update connects to part of the merged tmobile/metropcs 4g..

in some areas I've got 45m/20m 4g speeds, others its the 5mb/3mb that I used to get

Kool have you tried switching the network settings to automatic from metro PCs
