any downside to unlocking?

If you are talking about SIM unlocking then no, there is no downside. All SIM unlocking does is allow you to use your phone on any GSM network. Since that is the only thing it does there is no possible downside.

Very happy. Consistently get 10-20Mbps which is faster than my home WiFi. Plus truly unlimited 4G means I never have to worry about limits and don't use my home WiFi on my phone.
