150 texts.
Unlimited internet
5 quid of downloads each month
18 month contract.
All for 15 quid a month. Of course this was a retention deal. Il tell u how I got it if u want.

Thats what I needed tbh, how much did you pay for the phone tho?

I didn't pay anything for the phone. Totally free.
What u have to do is first haggle like the other people have already mentioned, be polite, mention what other users have got. Obviously your retention discount will depend on how long u have been with them. Once u think that this Is the lowest they will go to, in my case they went down to 20 quid, accept the deal. Now you're thinking I said 15 before. Well once u get the phone don't open it, ring up the returns line, tell them u like the phone but your friend on another network is getting it for less I.e. 15 quid. Tell them straight if they can match It u will keep it otherwise u will send it back. They said ok we will give u the Internet add on free In my case. It's a bit of a gamble but u have nothing to lose.

Ok similar question.
I'm in the UK and on the 02 network currently. I want to upgrade my phone in Jan to an Android phone since I refuse to get an iphone and everything I've read about this HTC Hero, I like.

So my plan is this:

Buy a sim-free HTC Hero for

I got (never been with orange so no retention line)
Orange
600mins
Unlimited txts
500mb internet (rarely use half of this!)
24 months

thefonz im on 02 and pay 21 quid a month, that includes bolt on unlimited inernet/download, 400min, 400txt, free call to other O2 phones, pay monthly been on it over a year now. everything worked from day one when I bought my Hero the day it came out. Never looked back as im on the internert 24/7 :)

It sounds like your phone hasn't been activated. If you call Orange they'll do it for you. I had the same problem but they fixed it there and then.

Cheers Al
