Help Any good way to root?

Shayd

Newbie
I'm all new in rooting, I know what is it and i want it for various reasons, for instance ''Hello, metropcs'' or downclocking CPU to save battery etc. But i don't know how exactly how it roots phone (Replaces operating system with one that has no permission limits on you?)

I found this LG Esteem(MS910) - OneClickRoot

Did anyone tried this? I'm about to try but thoughs of my phone getting bricked haunt me, and i can't afford new one at the moment, I just want someone to brighten me about risks and how often is happens your phone after rooting won't boot up.

I'm pretty sure that 90% of all the user's on this forum that have rooted their phones have used that method. I used it the first day I had my phone and it worked very good. Just make sure you follow all the instructions and you should be good to go.

Dont get rid of the boot screen though. That will brick your phone if you don't know what your doing.

BTW: if you plan on rooting your phone make sure you check out this thread first:

I don't want to be ARIA (If you watched Eagle Eye you know what i mean) but 90% seems a bit unsure, is there any other one-click-roots around? Can't find on forum

well considering that this is pretty much the only forum that is dedicated to the esteem I would use the rooting method that is posted on here.... EDIT: THE SAME ONE AS YOURS
I wouldn't recommend any other method if your not advanced.
Sorry I haven't seen that movie :D

The one he posted, has some own link to different guide, but i don't want to use it due to wall of text and vocabulary i don't know, why i can't use this one from link i found, seems much easier to do. or forget that i will wait until someone posts, one, good, working, easy root

So i rooted it, the console says rebooting, phone is dead doesn't react to anything, thanks for telling me it happens 99% of time

For some reason its kind of hard to believe this......

Anyways no. 99% of the time? Buddy you are the first one! It pays to read the guides.

You are the first I have heard of bricking while running this rooting method. I have ran it at least 20+ times and not ONCE has it bricked a phone. I dont know what you did wrong, but I bet its all user error, 99.9999999% of the time it is. ;)

I have run it several times myself without error. Sounds like it might be the ol.... ID10T error. Where the biggest problem usually exists between the computer and the chair?? God knows I have had that error before...lol:D

weird, but your the first, but if its not powering on than you might have a bad/defective battery or device and should be replace, But remember everyone that does this is Responsible for there own actions.;)

Hard reset worked, but it's not rooted, it is just as before, and luckily still working fine with no OS corruption

I still say this isnt real life. You yourself just said that the phone was dead and wasnt responding to anything you were doing. How did you get it to hard reset if it wasnt responding?

Maybe he was being sarcastic..?

i used the one frmo team revolution...its a bat file.... good luck bro.... be brave.... you can't brick from rooting.... i personally just think its impossible.... either it'll work or it wont period. Now flashing a rom, recovery, bootimage is a completely different story.
