Any Ideas on the Release Date?

Only rumors, nothing solid. Its not on the rebate sheet but that can be updated anytime on the fly and it could also ship before or right after. So honestly I would really like an insider to show us some info.
 
im assuming its going to be after thanksgiving, this current rebate is only running from the 1st to the 24th.
 
Yea my fiance is going nuts... I cant wait cuz its another phone I get to tinker with and she cant yell at e for buying a new phone lol
 
It's clearly not coming out on November 11th. You think it could come out around Black Friday? That sound like the best time but I've heard Black Friday, December, and Q1 2011. I have to return my Droid Incredible and can go a couple of weeks with out a smartphone, but not 2 months.
 
any firm confirmation on the 18th? although - even if true... i'd be tempted to hold off until knowing more details on the release date for the Incredible HD... larger screen, front facing cam, 4G... basically an EVO for vzw...
 
Just spoke with a Rep at Verizon that said it is in their system as being released tomorrow. As of right now the system was showing that no stores have it in Stock. She didn't know if they would receive it tomorrow or if it was going to be an online exclusive phone like the Samsung Continuum. But it was indeed confirmed for a November 18th Release. I hope this helps all whom are waiting for this phone.



Update:
Not looking likely for today. However, her system said it was available for sale today. I would try calling *611 and ordering the phone if you want too. Overnight shipping and you would have it before the weekend.

I think I might have realized something. My bet it hits tomorrow night at midnight est. They are having a release celebration party the 18th at 9PM PST. Which is Midnight on the east. That is usually what time verizon updates for new releases. It would fit a kick off of a release party. You don't normally celebrate the "release" of something before you do it.
 
Its typical verizon but maybe they are just keeping it hush hush like usual I mean they did have it on their site although for just a short while so that has to mean something. If it did get pushed back like some were saying they wouldnt have had a marker for it on their site. just my .2
 
Any new ideas for a release date? Obviously Nov 18th was wrong. I've read that it is delayed because of the LTE, but are we thinking weeks or months delayed?
 
According to a certain source over at Droidforums, the release date could be sooner than we think. This rumor comes from a guy who appears to be a verizon tester or perhaps regional manager of some sort. Some type of higher up Verizon employee to have gotten this info and photos.

Well greetings from Florida tonight. Sorry for the extended delay from me but I have some more solid info. First the Merge delay id well over stated. So much so that accessories have arrived in some stores. It rasa scheduled for black friday ad I originally reported. Now they are hoping for the devices to arrive on Wednesday here.

Anybody heard anything new? Anything at all??? My upgrade is tomorrow and I have been waiting for this phone for so long. I don't want to go out and get some one I don't like as much but my phone now is beginning to quit working and I'm dying for this but I don't want to wait until like February, I can't do that . . . . :(
 
I'm starting to think that the dude who said it was being held back for the addition of LTE capability was right.

At least we're not seeing the weekly "it's *definitely* coming out this Thursday" posts anymore. They were frigging annoying.

Or maybe in typical verizon fashion they wait til months after a similar phone has been released on another network then release it. this delay could also be due the the iphone supposedly coming to verizon maybe they dont want anything stealing the spotlight from that. I really hope its not they can keep the iphone on apple no need for that phone on verizon. I do like the merge but just get used to waiting its how it is with verizon.
 
according to the girls in at VZW this morning they already have all the phones in they are getting for the month of december. Phonearena has it predicted for Q1
 
Went in to a Verizon store about a month ago and One guy said he wasn't sure. He said he has seen the rumors and heard about it and everything but didn't know when they would get it.

Went to Best Buy this week and asked if they knew when they would get it. Original guy I asked the question to had no idea what the Merge was. He asked a co-worker nearby and he said he had never heard of it. Then the original guy asked another co-worker that was nearby and he also had never heard of it.

Pretty much Everyone knows about the Merge coming out and people have even seen magazine ads and cases for it in the stores. And still No phone.

I agree that it is either being held back for Q1 or LTE.
