Any Incredible owners jealous of the Evo 4G?

I definitely am a tad jealous of Its massive screen.. the video calling and 4g......

I also wish the incredible could record in 720p like the evo....

Do u think its possible the incredible will get 720p in an update later?

I realize u can never have the best because better phones will always come out but do u think the incredible will receive 2.2 and all future versions of Android....?

Anyone with the incredible thinking of switching?

Did Hell freeze over:confused:

NO! :p

The Verizon roaming is voice only, not data. Having used to travel a lot though, I didn't find Sprint EVDO coverage to be that bad unless you live far from a major city then you get about TMobile equivalent coverage which is not ver good.

I think they can use data, but only "2G level" speeds. Point being, Sprint does NOT use VZW higher speed 1X or 3G data connections. VZW allocates most of their bandwidth to THEIR customers. Sprint 3G is about the same as Tmo 3G- weak coverage.

My EXACT same feelings, Sean..
and, I am having the same issues, with call quality, screen freezes, and random reboots..I love the incredible, but, I'll try the Evo and see if its any better.
If not, I'll go back to the incredible

Nothing to loose and deffinitly worth a shot...

If you liked the HD2 you should LOVE the Evo. Hey, Sprint is making it easy to give them a whirl, so, why not give a shot. Strange about the voice quality issue's you are having. I have to say the Inc has been fantastic in terms of voice quality for me.

I dont know if Sprint has gotte better or not. Where I live, about 50 miles NW of NYC, their coverage map is still relagated to main roads and highways. Once you get a few miles away you go into bad coverage or roaming.[/QUOT

Well I travel a lot between NYC, Bklyn, and Queens. So I'll really be able to test all the good stuff within the 30 days and come to a pretty good conclusion of which works better for me in different areas. Should be Fun...

Jealous? Erm, not really. 720p recording? In the 4+ years of owning cellphones that can record video, I probably recorded...4 videos, all limited to 15 seconds. And I just don't see myself becoming a cellphone video enthusiast.

1.3 MP front camera? Uh, cool, if you work for a business that REQUIRES you to see the person. And you want calls to suck your battery life. I'll pass on that.

HDMI with kickstand??? I have a sick computer with a TV tuner for a reason, you know.

Plus, is it really worth it to swallow it and do the cancellation fee, sign up for a new carrier/plan and get a SLIGHTLY better phone for...oh, I don't know, for around $650 total before selling the Incredible? You tell me.

I think some people who have absolutely nothing constructive to add need to keep it moving...Maybe u and some others don't understand the nature of A FORUM! It's to speak on topics that interest you, and to voice your opinion, or look for help on something, or give a little help. Just some FYI..

Sean - he was just answering the Poster's question.

This thread does not promote understanding or learning anything constructive. It's based on jealousy. The Evo trolls grow stronger each day.

If you want to learn about the Evo - there is a convenient sub-forum for it:

HTC EVO 4G - Android Forums

I agree, but the main premise is the "4G" which Sprint is pushing the product with, but hardly any areas have it and will not until the next model- even then not a very big coverage map.

Meh, the discussion should be about the hardware but its like a fanboy battlefield. Loyalty to a carrier that is LOL worthy, if you have a carrier and it works for you great! I have had sprint since 04 and dont have any issues with my service when I travel or any issues the rare occasions when I have to call customer service. Ironic thing is I was VZW tech support for 2 years and everyday heard ppl complain about signal and service issues. The number one thing I would hear is the can you hear me now sarcasm. Seems everyone posting here thinks their opinion is fact. Also starting this thread in an incredible forum you would have to expect what 90% of the responses are smh.

Never in my life have I met such a group of soon to be phone owners with a chip on their shoulder. Every website (engadget, BGR, etc.) there's always some Evo 4G owner trying to start a "my phone is better than yours." It may be fun at first, but it gets old real fast.

THEN when you try to avoid their endless rants by staying out of anything relating to the Evo 4G, they come into everyone else's forums to poop on their phones.

Can I just end all this annoying bashing and say "Yes your Evo 4G is amazing, I'm sooo jealous." Are you happy now?

Before I even had the incredible and I was shopping around for phones the HD2 immediately caught my eye, thin with a huge screen. Im coming from an old HTC tilt. That thing was a brick. Towards my final weeks with it I started leaving it at home because I couldnt stand having it in my pocket.

Well once I picked up the HD2 I decided it was just way too big for my liking. I didnt want to have something that large in my pocket. I then came across the incredible and it seemed to fit my standards perfectly. I can put it in my pocket and not even notice its there. In fact the first days I had it, I got worried a few times thinking I lost it since I couldnt even feel it in my pocket.

I was still intrigued by HD2's grand screen size so I went back one last time to compare but this time with the incredible in hand. I definitely am happy with the choice I made. The size is perfect for my liking.

Granted the evo isnt the HD2, the size is one of my biggest quips and I just cant see my self buying a phone that large. The features it does have over the incredible are not enough to sway me. Im perfectly happy with the incredible and until 4g is more prevalent in other areas and video calls become more popular the incredible will do.

Nope not at all. The features that are different between the two don't attract me at all towards the Evo and it being on Sprint just destroys it's potential. I work with 4 Iphone owners, one Sprint user, and a few T-mobile here and there, but our entire company is covered by Verizon. ATT, Sprint, and T-mobile coverage is terrible. What takes me a few seconds to access and download I've seen them take up to 5 minutes to do the same. No one does it like Verizon no matter what anyone else says. I've seen the proof and the complains going around are not lies, they exist for a reason. :)

Because bickering on a cell phone forum isn't why I come here. If I wanted that then I'd actually take an interest in Politics.

I didnt ask you why you think it should be closed. I asked you why you dont ignore it. See the difference?
