Android Central posted yesterday that T-Mobile announced the Galaxy Note (1?) in their upcoming lineup, so I don't think it's an AT&T exclusive.

Yeah, that's the old Note coming to T-Mobile.
all previous articles list an announcement on the 30th, not a release. I have just sent an email to our friend Sammy for clarification
Sheesh, shows how much I actually read through the article. It does say launched, not released. That's my bad.
No worries. Talked to "sammy" and he knows nothing. no test devices even ..which would count out an August launch.
He is sticking with a October-November release....
target release would most likely line up with the next iphone
It's a mid-range phone, but still comingout on Sprint.
The Samsung SPH-L300 made it through FCC.

Ooh...64gb SGS 3 still alive? If that does end up being available at Sprint, SGS 3 might just step into the lead for my upgrade choice:
64GB Samsung Galaxy S III not canceled, set for release later this year | The Verge
I'd have 128gb of storage! That's a dream for me, based on my day job and personal preference of having hard files rather than streaming.
It looks like some people are speculating that the next Nexus phone(s) will be announced around November of this year possibly. If the rumors are true that the phones will be unlocked and sold only through Google Play, how does this work with the carriers? Are you paying full price for the phone itself (let's just say $400) and then paying for your contract with the carrier separate? And what I'm really curious to know is if the carrier you sign up with will give you any discounts for signing a new or upgrading the contract if you get the Google phone? Or will those discounts only apply to the phones that are strictly tied to them and locked?
I read about this earlier today. I wonder if Sprint will get this. If so, what will be the pricing? This would really be a good phone to get as far memory goes. If the price is right I might sell my 32GB and get the 64GB.
Based on how they priced out the 16 ($199) and 32 ($249), I'd say $299 w/ 2 year upgrade. That is, unless Sprint decides to do a price drop on the 16 and 32, prior to releasing the 64.
Any chance this is the Galaxy Note 2 announcement?
Samsung to announce next Galaxy device on August 15
possibly but I think they have that slated for the 30th in Berlin...
could be the l300 but I can't see them dedicated an unpacked event for an entry level phone
Its probably a tablet. Isn't the Note 2 already scheduled to be unveiled in Aug 30th?
Hey guys, need some quick advice...got the epic 4gt last December I believe with an upgrade, and my mom has had an upgrade since April or so that she hasn't used. Should I use it now and get the sIII? Or is there probably something better that will not only be coming out before the year end, BUT also be worth putting off the SIII to get?
There is always something better.
See the last sentence of my post. That addresses the first part, but not the second.
