Any new phone rumors for Sprint?

All I know of is the Nexus 5 just announced releasing next week along with the G2, Galaxy Mega, One Max and S4 mini. I don't think the One Max will be triband though. Curiously awaiting info on if we will carry the 32 gb Nexus 5 or if that will be Google only. I highly doubt that I would give up my 32gb G2 for a 16gb phone

Its going to be a busy week haha!

One max was listed and the article mentioned the Nexus 5 being likely 1 of the 2 "mystery" phones they had covered up.

If they had hinted at the 2nd "mystery" phone being one that's popular and had already been released, we're looking at the HTC One, S4, iPhone 5s/5c, or Note 3.

Too bad no articles have mentioned any FCC filings for another tri-band Sprint phone.

The One Max should have Tri-Band LTE. The prior info from HTC themselves and the FCC filing for the CDMA->Sprint One Max have all pointed to Tri-Band LTE radios. I also don't think that Sprint would mention it in this article if it was NOT to be Tri-Banded. Sprint.com | First Sprint Tri-band Capable Smartphones Arrive on Nov. 8 | Sprint Newsroom
Having a release date for the One Max later than the other Tri-Band major releases is downright dumb. it is definitely not the way to try to hang with the big guys when you are more or less a failing company (HTC)... Lower specs and a later release date is a recipe for disaster.

Mr. Ed, and idea if a Black HTC One Max is rumored or in the works? I've heard rumors on the net that it will only be available in silver but I have no solid evidence either way.

Bought my 32gb n5 from the play store today.

Google and sprint CS both said I'd have no problems activating it and getting a SIM for LTE.

Have you heard anything about that?

The sims shipped today

Possibly a new S4

No news on a black one

Because I don't see anything here about new phones, I figured I would post what I learned.

Coming to sprint are two new phones, the s4 mini and the Nexus 5. Nexus 5 will ship with android 4.4 Kit Kat. If I remember correctly the release time is mid november.

so you completely missed the previous page of posts about the Nexus, Mega, S4 mini, G2, and the new HTC haha

if they cant take the heat.. get out of the kitchen.

it sure is hot in here!

It's freezing in my kitchen today. Snow is flying and we're deep frying turkey behind the field office. :D

Really interested to see what Tri-band LTE phone is out this June when my 2 year is up on the LTEvo. Interested indeed...

Sequel to HTC One will likely be on the market already by June '14.

I read that it is a small glitch requiring a software update on all towers and should be fixed in 60 to 90 days or 6 to 9 months in Sprint time.

Nexus 5 and LG G2 experience temporary Sprint LTE connectivity issues due to Circuit Switched Fallback technology - Sprint 4G Rollout Updates

Its definitely not your normal everyday glitch. As the article mentioned, a software solution depends on whether or not the hardware in your area can support the changes that need to be done. If the hardware doesn't support it, your area will need to wait for the ongoing network vision upgrades.

Right now in my city, any LTE device that isn't triband has no problems connecting to LTE service. My nexus 5 can only connect to 3g

I will have to check this out, my G2 has had no issues and I have been using it for over a month now. That being said the G2 wasn't released with triband active...that supposedly is not coming until a software update in Q1

i picked up the max on launch day and an ota was already avail before the phone hit the shelves that dealt with this. (im in Los Angeles)

im now seeing lte in my home when before, on the htc one for example, i was not able to see lte in my home.

You mean we should actually take the OTA!?!?!?!?:D

I'll give that a try, my 3G and 4G are horrible. I literally covered a 6 mile drive with no internet connection displaying on the phone!

Hello everyone, so I drowned my Note 2 back on labor day, used my insurance from BB to get it replaced.....also had an upgrade that I needed to use up, so I grabbed an S4 while I was in BB. I have another upgrade available now, and I am wondering what device I should look to next? I would like to stick with a device with expandable memory. Is it possible that the S5 will be out in early 2014?

I would wait for the S5 at this point. I am actually waiting for the S5 to replace my Photon. But we have no idea when it will be released. The rumor is it will be early in the year. I really hope so.

That's what I am thinking too. The interwebz rumor mill is saying February or March release. I, obviously hope for February.....

If Samsung releases the S5 soon & it's an upgrade from the Note 2 I'm jumping over to the T Mobile ship. Rumor has it T Mobile may be announcing soon that they'll pay your ETF to switch. Not sure how worthwhile that would be for them without looking you in to a contract but what's a rumor worth anyway? :-)

Ting (prepaid) will pay up to $75 of your ETF, so there's hope
