Any questions about sprint?

I would like to know if there is a date set for the launch of the InstinctQ, and if that date is at all in line with current predictions. Not sure if you can answer that... do you work for Sprint?

I have a BlackBerry, If I add a 3rd line to my account will I be able to get the Hero for $179? I think I should. And can I swap my BB phone # onto the 3rd line.

yes you can but $100 of that is a mail in rebate but if you swap the hero from the new line to the line the blackberry is on before the rebate is processed they will deny your mail in rebate.

How long ago did you get your blackberry?

Are you sure this doesnt fall into one of the questions you can not answer? :D

Seriously, weeks before Sprint announced the Hero, I had called Sprint to ask about Android, the Hero and the Instinct Q.

Her first response was they were not getting any Android devices in the next 6 months. I told her that her information was incorrect, and it was at that point I mentioned the Hero and the Instinct Q. To which she replied. Oh the Q sounds familiar. She put me on hold again to look for more information, and came back talking about the Hero. It was as if she had forgotten that she even mentioned that the Q rang a bell.

At the end of the conversation I had with her, she was quite intrigued with Android and said she was going to look into one as her next personal phone.

edit:
I wasnt expecting all this activity, but I was referring to Chris' answer on the Q.

She really didnt, and I wasnt expecting much in the way of answers anyway, but I figured... why not call and find out... you know... just to be sure.

My situation is wierd. I currently have the original Instinct via a friend of mine that works at Sprint, so my plan is $50 for 1500 anytime and unlimited everything else.

The problem is signals at my house are so bad I hardly ever have more than 1 bar and regularly have none. It doesn't matter what provider either just to make that clear.

I am begging for an Android phone, sooner the better. Since I live in Atlanta I supposedly have 4G coverage via Clear.

So what I am dieing for is an Android phone, with a hardware keyboard, that functions via WiMax, Clear, or something similar. Even if it would just use my WiFi to make/take calls that would be acceptable.

So my question that I have NO doubt you can't answer.

Any chance of an Android based phone, with a hardware keyboard, that supports 4G Clear/WiMax by the end of the year?

I guess I am going to have to wait on the Q and see whether to go Hero or Q. If I go Q I will just have to put the Hero UI on it :)

Doesnt Sprint have something that should give you better in home calling. I cant remember the name of it, and I think its $5 more a month?

WiMax did roll out in Atlanta, not long ago. No phones currently use WiMax, but its "rumored" that the Q might. Which would be nice, as its got a physical keyboard, but its probably still a ways off before we start to see some real WiMax handsets.

the only android phone coming out in the near future with a physical keyboard anyone has heard of is the samsung Q. Will it be 4G? possibly but prob not you probably wont see it until more cities are 4G

What youre talking about sir is called Airave

Thats really, in my mind, one of the biggest problems with CDMA. Not sure if this will change with WiMax, and Im assuming its possibe with LTE.

i really dont need to surf the web while im on a phone call illf inish the call then do it thats why it doesnt bother me.

no you cant

I don't like the sound of that because alot of the apps in Android need full internet access, so that means when I'm on the phone I can't get messages (Chompsms, gmail, google talk, walkie talkie, etc...). Also widgets don't work

Sorry about the double post but I wanted to know if I sign up to the $69.99 a month plan does that qualify me for a upgrade every year?

You still get text messages while you're on the phone and the emails that you would get while you're on the call you would get right after you hang up the call its not like if you're on the phone you missed getting that email on your phone.

And yes you would get the upgrade every year with that plan
