You should give cyanogenmod 10.1 a try. Really nice ROM with good battery life.

Found it to be unstable when I tried it last week. (Even full wipe, etc.) Trebuchet and the keyboard were FCing, along with the occasional random app. Also listening to audiobooks (standard player) the book would play, the app would 'disappear' and eventually the audio would stop. Strange stuff. I'm sure it will get sorted but for now, rooted GB stock is even faster than ICS stock.

The stock Mr. X based on 2.3.5 is rock stable and battery life its almost 2 solid days. CM 10 / 10.1 all seem to drain under a day.
