Root Any Success with Unevoked v3.3? HBOOT 2.02

Any news? I'm just nervous! I tried before and it failed because I have hboot 2.02, but since the new version is out I want to know if anyone has had any success? I have Andriod 2.2 with software 3.30.651.3 with HBOOT 2.02 I just want to make sure this will work. It should per everyone, but I am the type of person that spells words wrong in microsoft word to make sure word is working correctly.
 
Worked great! 5-10 min. One-Click. I then went to the market and downloaded Clockworkrecovery's Rom Manager and downloaded the new Fresh rom. I feel so free now! :)

Download: Fresh Evo 3.5.0.1 (New OTA)

This can be installed through Rom Manager. Be sure to check the 2 boxes when it downloads so that it will wipe and set your phone to factory settings, thus, starting with a clean slate and Fresh rom!

Also, definately READ the info here:

Read through each section, and it will tell you everything you need to know about Roms, rooting, etc. Very VERY useful!

Did you need to flash radios or anything like that? I would like to add a rom using rom manager from the market. Does everything work with this rom?

Everything works on Fresh from what I can tell and I have had it since release. However, I don't live in 4g, so I can't confirm that.

You will want to flash the new radios for any rom based off 3.70 though as far as I know. Read up on that before you do it though.

Everything, so far, is working just fine. Im connected to wireless tethering for my son's Android Tablet, 4g works, runs real smooth!
I didnt have to flash radios or anything like that. I think if you go to Fresh website, there is a link for that stuff.....
 
The new unrevoked works great! I actually ran the beta that was out slightly before the new one and it done the job very quickly and I was absolutely pleased, no issues.

Im currently running the sprint lovers rom, Im debating on going with cyanogen mod, I had it on my hero and loved it, just not sure if its right for my evo yet lol

now, im freaking out! I just downloaded from unevoked, and tried to open the reflash package, and it will NOT open. I disabled my norton and restarted my computer. I am going check on my desktop computer which is vista.....im on windows 7 on my lappy. I did it last time on my lappy, but for some reason it wont open? I am also running as admin....

BTW last time i couldnt run unevo because i had HBOOT 2.02

it should work on all current hboots now. have you uninstalled htc sync and installed the hboot drivers?
 
Yes, I did. I uninstalled Sync, but kept the drivers. I didn't do he hboot drivers, because I already did it last time. The only issue i am having is the the reflash package just wont open. I am check on my desktop computer now....
 
yooooo the reflash package wont open......why does this stufff always happen when i want to root. Can anyone else confirm this? I downloaded it a few mins. ago on a computer with vista and windows 7. I am clicking, DOWNLOAD FOR WINDOWS...then when I click on my download, it wont even open........:confused: Yes I am running as admin and virus is off......

All I did was went to Unrevoked, downloaded for Windows, put it on my desktop. Double Clicked, it told me to make sure I do NOT have HTC Sync, so I uninstalled. It then read the driver and started up on its own. I didn't even download windows drivers or anything.....PS, I am running Win7 64bit FYI.
 
IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM A LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!! i has on norton 360 and I thought i had it off....it has to be the anti virus software
 
Don't sweat it dude. Just chalk it up as a learning experience. We all have them!!!....and that is a good thing...:-)
