Any Time is Grillin Time

We have had more rain and power outages up here. Ours was out most of Thursday and Friday, but some people didn't get theirs back until Saturday night. We had a couple trees go down across the road. My neighbor, that is up here for the summer, and I took care of on of them so we had room to at least get through. There is only one way in.

That sounds like a plan! we got a 6 yr old Eskie recently. She had been abandoned along with 16 other dogs that were used for breeding when the owner got sick and couldn't tell anyone where the dogs were for awhile. She had to be transported up from S. Indiana. Most scared dog I have ever seen. The only day it is supposed to rain this week is Wednesday, when we take her to the vet.
 
I'm grilling again!
The rain has stopped falling.
The long thunderous nights are now at an end.
The Pork steaks are on
And the BBQ sauce is calling.
And nothing else matters.
Because I'm grilling again.
 
I ate leftover ribs for dinner tonight. I think I like them cold just about as well as I like them hot. How can you go wrong with a rib and a brew?
 
Last night I grilled out some thick cut pork chops. It's been a while since I last grilled out some pork. It seems I get my fill of pork with all of the smoked pork I fix. In any event, the chops were great. I forgot how fantastic a grilled chop or blade steak is.
 
Pork and brats are my favorite things to grill. Nice one beer jobs. Not this weekend, though, as we are driving down to Milwaukee to go to a Brewers game with our daughter. Finally got some sunshine today. Got down to 35 last night, so maybe we can get some snow soon.
 
I'm sure not ready for snow.. no sir. The cooler weather sure is welcome though. I'm tired of sweating my buns off. And... I love grilling and smoking in the cooler weather. I love grilling and smoking in the hot too though lol.
 
I just had to grill some burgers tonight. Buttered and toasted buns and some grilled onions made for some tasty burgers. It's amazing how something so simple and easy is so good.
 
All right! We gots the steaks, we gots the brats, we gots the hot dogs! We could even throw on the burgers if we want, but we be grilling this weekend!
 
Okay, nothing special about the steaks (except that they were perfectly done and tasted great!), but you gotta admit the view is pretty good. :)

I agree, the steaks look great but the view is to die for. I love to be at my grill or smoker and I have no view at all. I would live on the patio if I had that view.
 
Man I get it. Super nice. I live in the middle of an older neighborhood that's pretty much fifties track housing. It's quite here with lots of squirrels and bunnies... play hell with my gardens :( But it is peaceful. However, I can put my eyes on five back yards from my patio. I'm the one that's always cooking out back so I imagine the neighbors are watching me lol. Oh well, I'd far rather be the grilling dude than the one's close enough to smell the stuff cooking.
 
That's for sure. When you go over to someone's house for a BBQ, do you let them do the grilling? I tend to migrate toward the grill in order to take over if they want.
 
I always hang out at the grill. It's always the fun spot of a party for me. I will help if requested but it's an opportunity to pick up ideas and techniques as well. I've learned a lot by watching others cook.

I will check it out. There is a fee involved, right? Are you a Chiefs fan? If so, congrats on their whooping of the Pats.

Good thing I grilled enough for a couple days of leftovers because it has been cold and rainy every since.
