Hello, i have an extended battery for my HTC evo. I was wondering how to take an advntage of the extended battery. I feel that my battery life has been hurrendous. I know that I should clear my battery stats but what else shud I do? Is there a way to increase battery life or calibrate the battery so CM7/kernel knows that I have an extended battery?

well you can try this:
[APP] Battery Calibration - EASIEST WAY! - Version 1.2 (10th April, 2011) - xda-developers

and also try tiamat sbc kernels. they have always given me the best battery life as long as you use setcpu in conjunction with the kernel. of course, not everybody gets the same results on the same kernel.

also turn off 3g when you are not using it. this will increase your battery life a lot as well.

I'd say turn off radios. This summer I went overboard on radio management and my battery life went though the roof. The power widget in MIUI makes it too easy. Turn on 3g radio when you *need* data, turn off sync.... ahh... the battery life went right to my head, but better than charging all the time right?

Now, I'm always near my charger so I tend to leave things on.. (tsk tsk tsk).

Yeah, watch radios, wifi tether kills battery, and I hear wifi is easier on battery than 3g (so if available use it), and lower screen brightness too if need be.

That's interesting. I'd heard that SetCPU could cause some problems with CM7 so I've been using the built in management tool.

You find that it makes a difference in battery life which one you use?

oh yeah, sorry forgot you are on cm7. yes use the built in feature rather then setcpu.
