Root Any way to remove boot animation?

So I've looked through the forum, but have only found ways to do so for other phones. Anyone know how to remove the boot animation to speed up our phones when booting? Thanks in advance.

honestly to me it doesn't seem like removing it would speed things up at all...the animation plays while the phone is loading the OS up to run...i think if you removed the animation you would be staring at a blank screen for some time before it booted up...

I only ask because roms like Liberty's toolbox, give an option to remove the boot animation and "speed up the boot" (their words). It never actually removed my boot animation probably due to some old files left over from other roms, but thought, hey, I'll give it a try.

When i did that on liberty it gave me a blank black screen in place of it. soooo. I dunno about the whole speeding up of it. But yes I do remember that option saying it would do so, but i never saw speed

I timed it a couple times and the variations between the two averaged something like two seconds. It was pointless.
