Any word on ICS for the Amaze?

Did you delete the original from your pc?
If you didnt, delete the one that on your phone. Then Rename it directly from your pc as PH85IMG. Then drag it into your ext_sd card. enter Fastboot and let the phone install the update.
 
im redownloading it and its really throttled on file factory over and hour to go. I think my download is bad as it says it fails image and diagnosis I think it said then opens the file a blue bar starts then a yellow bar slowly increases then it just stops.

i gave you a link above that took me 2 minutes 2 download using utorrent
 
I dont do torrent got totally hosed by limewire when it was around so many trojans and worms and just malicious software.
 
Heres a summary. Redownloaded the file from the net on my computer
Then renamed it PH85IMG only computer gave it a zip extension after wards
The File is sitting in the /mnt/sdcard/extsd directory it is also in the sd2 directory as well.

I wait 30 seconds or more. Do a volume down power button and it shows hboot. Its says it cant find image cant fidn diagnosis and then it says its loading PH85IMG bluew bar shows up then a yellow bar and then back a HBoot menu. nothing lese happens. The radio is S-on as well

Is your bootloader unlocked?
 
ok trying afain its says SD checking then oading PH85DIAG.zip
No Image
Loading PH85DIAH.nbh
No Image or wrong image
Loading PH85OIMG.zip

stats a blue status bar

Then goto the Hboot screen only now a yellow status bar

Checking PH85IMG.zip
it went to an updsate screen now

and back to Hboot blue status bar

went dark back to Hboot now yellow status bar now a new update screen its says DO NOT Turn off

shows a checklist 1-12 and updating finishing with an OK

press power to reboot

rebooting........

goes to android screen then the main screen after awhile answer some questions and loading software.

Good, i guess we resolved this.
 
Thank you are your guys help. I think its the whol extension thing when downloading in the browser on my phone I also think i have a corruptred original files. All installed thank you again.

Probably a dumb question, but...I know installing this unofficial official leak update wipes all photos and music on the internal SD storage, but does it otherwise install same as the OTA update will? IOW, does it leave apps, settings, etc intact?
