Root Anybody else having this problem??

:questionmark: :help: today I been having problems with my prevail :( first I couldn't dial out at all I had a signal and could get on 3G so I restarted it and now I have no signal at all can't dial out can't do anything I pay my bill faithfully on time every month so it's not that how can this be fix? I don't want to call into boost cause it's like pulling teeth to try to get a customer rep :banghead: Please help
 
Going by your listed devices, I'm assuming you're running the latest ctmod. To update your PRL, (I'm sure there some script out there that I'm unaware of) you must flash a stock rom(or halfassrom) and update it thru the phone settings/about phone section. I suggest creating a backup on CWM first.. That way when all is said and done, you can simply restore your old rom/settings/everything with the new PRL still intact.
 
1. Create backup in CWM. This can be done by holding the power button and selecting "Recovery"(on ctmod) or.. from a powered off phone, by holding the power button and the volume up button together until the device powers on(on halfass/stock).

2. Download halfass and flash using cwm

3. Go into settings/about phone/update

4. Go back into CWM and restore your backup

Were you tinkering with any settings before this happened? If not, and you don't have service on a new rom, then it sounds like the service is down in your area. You might have to deal with the headache and call it in. Ask if the service is down in your area, and if so, request that your time be refunded.
 
he stated problem in 2 threads and said what problem was in the other thread. and just has to wait it out, tower problems in his area is what he said.
 
Question?? what does CDMA workshop do? will it help my situation in anyway I really don't wanna go rooting a other phone or the hassle of trying to get a other since I bought from eBay.
