Anybody else notice the new Evo3D looks like ... (options)

Dang you Dan, my stuff is in storage. PCSing to California next month and I just returned from an overseas deployment. Living in a nice military hotel until I'm cleared to leave my base for California.

well welcome back to the states... safe.

so... no pics.. then it did not happen! :p

No, here is the orig. Either way, it still doesn't look like an Evo :p

There it is! I thought my mind was playing tricks on me (wow, easy song reference here...LOL) because I remembered the original one being a darker blue.

You know what though, my current EVO resembles it a little because I have a dark blue/purplish skin on the back of my white EVO...hahaha.

This was my first Transformer: Shockwave. Awesome gun. But I think I had an Asian knockoff. Mine was gray, not purple, and it made 3 different laser noises instead of two.

That was awesome too, but the O.G. was always Megatron, as far as transformers turning into a gun.

that i never understood...

megatron, the leader, turns into a handgun...
his second incharge turns into a jetfighter...

Yeah, me neither...LOL. Although, in the "new" transformer movies, he is a jet. I guess they had to make it more believable for people?

There's also the problem of conservation of mass. If Starscream and Megatron are both roughly the same size in robot form, how can Megatron transform into a handheld gun that Starscream can use? Never made sense to me.

Also, in the toys, some Transformers could only transform properly after removing some of the parts. But in the cartoons, they never showed where those extra pieces went :)

Yup. Same issue with the cassette robots. Went from a tiny cassette to a huge dog or eagle robot. WTF?...LOL.

Oh man, brings back memories watching G.I. Joe, Thundercats, He-Man...Those were the days.

Yes the transformers was kool back in the days and I like the movies of today but I hope that EVO 3D get's transform into a more appealing looking phone. (IMO) Something is off about the look of the phone.

You're not alone. There are certain aspects of it that do look a little funky to me too.

I'm actually curious if a white one will be available just like the EVO 4G? Anybody see anything reported about a version with a white battery cover?

Man, a lot of this thread went off-topic........but the good kind :)

As far as the look of the phone...I agree, it doesn't quite look as elegant or attractive as I'd hoped.

I personally wish it looked more like the Sensation, it's a better step in the right direction, imo.

I think everyone who purchased an EVO 4G doesn't care about looks of a phone. Jobs said we wouldn't want a hummer of a phone. If the EVO ran on gas right now I wouldn't buy the phone. But my launch day EVO still looks and works like a charm.

Wow, I had that exact model!...LOL...Man, I feel old.

Maybe because you are ;)

If I were a teen, I would think 30s as being really old. Now that I'm in my 30s, I don't feel old, but at the same time, I feel like where did the time go??? I'd imagine the same applies to anyone older than me.

No one wants to be old; it just happens. I look back at the 80s with extreme fondness and probably always will.

Being able to understand tech like the young crowd makes me feel young. But then again, my generation was the first generation who grew up with tech everywhere, so I don't think it comes as such a challenge as for those generations above me.

LOL...As long as I can still snag the twenty-something chicks, I don't mind. I still get carded for almost everything.

Great points and I'm right there with you.

the best thing about being older... you can hookup with younger women.

Exactly. :D, as long as they're legal.
