Root Anybody else update Clockwork Mod?

I wouldn't have even known about it but Rom Manager notified me of an updated version so I installed it. (2.0.2.1)

Don't know what changes it includes and can't seem to find any info on it but I just did a Nand backup and installed a Hydra kernel without a hitch. Anybody know what changes were made?

In Rom Manager.

And yes I just hit the update several days ago. Wasn't sure what it did but phone didn't blow up so I was happy.

Yeah, I updated a few days ago when Rom Manager yelled at me about it being out of date. :)

The update doesn't stick.

Turn off your phone then go into recovery, and you'll see that clockwork is back to 2.0.1.3.

You would have to use an updated unrevoked tool to get it to stick.

Interesting. Rom Manager shows that I'm on v2.0.2.1, yet the screen shows 2.0.1.0 when I boot into recovery.

Anyone know which one is correct?

Since we don't have NAND unlock yet, the update does not "stick." See the below quote from Ryan from unrevoked posted on xda for an explanation.

Ok I'll give my clarification again:
"Fully rooted" is a meaningless term. You have superuser access on your phone, that means you have root.
An additional level of protection that HTC has added to their phones is a NAND-flash chip which is locked by a memory protection unit. This is below the OS level, and thus below superuser. You can still have full root access to your phone, and not have access to this chip. The reflash tool unlocks NAND and reflashes the recovery partition.
The only way to unlock this at the hardware level is an exploit, or by changing hboot such that it does not initiate the NAND protection. We are still hesitant to flash hboot. If you mess up reflashing recovery, you have an unlimited number of chances to get it right. If you mess up reflashing hboot, you have a permanent brick.
Thus, since the recovery partition is protected by this hardware-level memory protection unit, ROM manager cannot reflash the recovery partition. You people seem to say that this is "not fully rooted" so "it is not sticking". Whatever. Yes, it won't "stick". No, this doesn't actually matter. You get *precisely* the same effect by updating in ROM manager. If there is a critical update that requires flashing, we will make sure that our users obtain this update.

is there an updated tool? i redownloaded and ran and still get 2013, so the one linked to on the board here hasn't been updated.

reflashing is easy... so if there's and update to it with the latest clockwork, i'm in.

No updated tool yet. Probably no need for it.

If you need to get into 2.0.2.1 for some reason, flash it in rom manager, and do a reboot from inside rom manager.

Somehow I have the 2.0.2.1 version on my phone. I didn't do an upgrade, but I did root and install unrevoked just a few days ago. I also just installed Rom's manager and paid for the version and I guess somehow that updated the Clockwork.

It was installed by Rom Manager, but will be lost once you reboot the phone.
