If you haven't already found your answer Verizon is having problems with thier 4G network and also with the simultaneous voice and data capabilities of the Tbolt.

Go into your dialer and dial ##778## and hit send, then hit Edit Mode, 000000 is the password (6 zero's). Click on Modem Settings and then Rev. A. Your phone should be set to eHRPD, click on Enable. This switches your phone from simultaneous voice and data (which is down) to 3G data. Click OK and then click on your Menu button and Commit Modifications. Reboot and voila, you should have 3G data back.

After that I would suggest following VZW on Twitter as they will be tweeting when the network is back up and operational. Once they have it fixed follow the instructions above to get back to eHRPD.

:)

Oh yeah, I'm running BAMF myself and am having the same issue you're having.

I'm really glad I read this. This is my first time rooting a phone and I thought I screwed something up because the 3G had just stopped working. I wish I would have read this before restoring to my initial backup though! Thank you for the tip, saved me a lot of worry and other hassle.

Having trouble too, 1x is garbage haha, I thought i jacked up my phone or something--

I cant get my phone to dial ##778## it just quits out and doesnt go anywhere--

huh.....

Thanks, ill give this a shot, hopefully they get it working soon. its a shame to have a phone and the network isnt ready to use it yet.

lmao, great, vzw is having 3g probs in my area and my signal for 3g keeps dropping out, back to 1x for me, it may be slow but its stable and having 3g drop in and out just isnt going to work.

The number you should be dialing in ##778# there is no second # after the number.

huh, the second pound after worked for me last month and it worked for me this month, but so did the one pound after when i tried it just now. o_O

Haha I thought this same thing today and did a system restore on my way to the office--Found out it was not needed!!

i actually never bothered to try the fix. 1x was reliable, and actually didnt seem much slower,so i just left it alone.

looks like 3g is back this morning

Yea I noticed that too... Not sure if what we were seeing was simply and error in how the phone was reporting what service we were getting, or if it simply felt as fast as 3G. I just know it wasn't as fast as 4G... But we are all good now :)

Verizon said it was fixed, yet I'm still not getting 4G at work, where I normally get great 4G coverage. I'm going to call and complain after work

maybe its an "icon" issue? have you done any speed tests to confirm your only getting 3g speeds?

also curious what words of wisdom them had if you have called and asked about it. :)

To those still not getting 4G, did you do the fix to get 3G that was over on XDA? If you did have you tried reverting that? I believe that fix will have an effect on your 4G signal. Try undoing the fix and re-booting.
