Anyone get better reception after FROYO?

I don't know if my reception has gotten better due to FROYO but after updating my Incredible to 2.2, I've noticed a dramatic reception change near my home and other places where I usually receive 1 or 2 bars. I don't know if its 2.2 but I can't come up with any other reason why it would change for the better.

It's the updated radio. When they initially leaked out a month ago, several people reported much improved reception.

I haven't noticed any real change personally. I thinnk there's a newer radio floating around that's even newer than the one that came with Froyo...

No noticable difference in the signal indicator, however it does seem to drop calls more often with Froyo.

No noticable difference in phone call quality either though an HTC tech told me prior to Froy release, there would be a fix included in Froyo.

Mine went from 1-2 bars now showing 3-4 consistently. I wanted to check out the difference so I downgrade one Inc to 2.1 with the old 1.XX Radio for comparison. Side by side in different locations the 2.15 radio had on average approximately -12db better reception. Here at the house the 1.XX radio showed -96db, while the 2.15 showed -84db. I have also had better call quality, please remember this was just my experience/area and in no way conducted very scientifically.

Signal has improved a lot with mine. I live about 2 miles from a tower and never went over 2 bars before. Now it is showing full bars.

If I go by the bars, here at work I use to get 1-2 bars now I get 0
If I go by the bars I usually stop and have a beer.... Oh that's not what you meant, is it?

My wifi is definitely better. I haven't checked if it's actually N but I am seeing a stronger connection in most places I use it.

I don't think that I have better cell/3G reception. None of the dead zones I know of seem to be any better.

I loved the dinc, but that's why I left for the dx. I have to do business on my phone and I can't keep having the same troubles. I was hoping they'd fix the call quality issue. This is discouraging to me because I love the dinc. :(

I wouldn't say it's dramatic for me, but I have gained another consistent bar for a total of 2. Call quality is better for me as well.

I now have more bars in more places (where have I heard that before?). But seriously, signal strength is improved as is call quality. Quite a noticeable improvement for me.

My wifi improved but my 3G is still just as poor as pre froyo (and also compared to my Blackberry devices on Verizon).

Oh yes. I'm seeing much more 3G on, and significantly more bars. The proof will be in my house, which for some reason, used to get 1x all the time. I haven't been home since the 2.2 update, since it updated while driving to work.

Who cares about how many bars you're showing before/after, it's already been established that bars are not a consistent measure of signal strength. I've certainly noticed better call quality and better reception (down about 10dbs in my house) since the update.
