Anyone getting by without a screen protector?

I use no screen protector as well, not one scratch, it does go in my back pocket, nothing else in it either. Dont plan on getting one either. All my iphones from day one also had no screen protector and all those never had a scratch either. For the most part, screen protectors make the screen look funny and I dont think they offer much for protection. just my opinion :)

I'm pretty carefully with mine. Noticed a nice gouge on the top right portion of my screen a couple weeks ago. I no idea how it happened or that a protector would ahve even helped.

I'm using the Bodyglove case until the Zagg "Full Body Maximum Coverage" kit comes in.

I use these kind of kits on all my gear. They are great.

I plan on taking off the screen protector towards the end of my contract. That way if I damage the screen, I get a new phone.

I purchased a Body Glove protector and removed my screen protector. I removed the cover 3 weeks ago. Careful pocket management and I am happy that I can manage with (Gorilla Glass, another discussion) No problems so far. I am happy. cheaha bill

I use a belt holster and so far no problems I also have a incipio clear case with a ridge on it so the screen rarely makes contact with anything

No protector and I purposely DONT mix my keys or loose change with it in my pocket though. Although I HAVE dropped it a few times and it's still legit, no scratches and no dings.

Had mine a month now with no protector and it's fine. I'll put it in a pocket with my wallet, but not with keys or coins. I'm careful with it but I don't obsess about it. Reasonable care seems to work ok.

I keep telling myself i'm going to get a screen protector, since july 25, yet I still don't have one and have been fine without it. I do have the body glove case and a belt holster to avoid pocket key/phone/change contact.

On a side note my friend has a captivate with a screen protector and I'm not sure if its the one sold at att or ebay but I noticed that when you try to use swype it causes finger drag (like there is grip between the phone screen and finger contact) causing a slight stutter in typing.

Left Pocket: Phone with screen facing my thigh.
Right Pocket: Everything else.

Screen protector not needed, especially with Gorilla Glass.

I hate screen protectors. Never used one with my iphone 2g, yes, I got some scratches, but its just normal wear and tear IMO. try to keep keys out of the phone pocket.

Not using one yet on my Cap... not planning on it.

Nope....haven't had one. I am thinking of taking it to the mall to get it done, but I think once I get a hip case for it I should be ok.

Nothing on mine and no scratches. I'm also a left pocket phone only type of guy. So I'm fairly careful with it I guess. Once in a while I'll toss receipts or a coin in there but quickly retrieve it when I have the "oops" realization.

The back, just above the speaker, has scuff marks where it must be slightly raised. Maybe the size of a pen cap. And then the bottom on where the battery cover meets the the grey lip looks like it's getting scuffs along the seam.

Guess I need to stop sliding it around on my desk. Oh well... Suppose I'll one day get some sort of rubber case, but I guess I'm not too worried about the screen itself.

I think they need to make the entire phone out of this glass stuff.. lol.

I go without screen protectors/cases. Personally I like the look and feel of the Captivate too much in its natural state to mess it up with a case or screen protector. Like others I am very careful to put it in a pocket all by itself and to never place it face down on anything.

I always laugh when people buy a phone because they love the look of it then proceed to slap a case on it. You see iPhones with fugly white cases on them all over the place.

I'm now using a glove AND a screen protector.

My fear is that if I drop it, it would shatter. The case holds it together and also absorbs some of the shock if it ever falls on the ground.

I'm using a case but no screen protector.

But I try to be careful with my phones. Nothing else in my pocket with the phone. Set it aside on my desk.
