Anyone going naked?

Just wondering if anyone is going without a case and/or screen protector on their SGS3.

currently I am because I am still on the fence about an extended battery and then if I do that there doesn't seem to be a case option at all. I am very protective about this particular phone because I have seen the drop videos and its scary. so its in my pocket, cupholder in work van, or in a very tight clutched hand.

I dont put anything on my S3. I just love the design and love holding the phone. The case ruins that. Also, screen protector ruins the responsiveness of the touch and just doesnt fell smoother.
I believe Gorilla Glass people that my screen wont get scratched with keys :D

I keep it "naked" when I am at home. Just so I can actually feel what its like to really hold and use the phone Samsung wanted us to experience. I hate cases, but I use them because I want to keep the resell value of this phone as high as possible.

It was possible to modify the case mate tough case to fit the gs2 with an extended battery so I'd assume it would work with the gs3. The tough case comes in two parts, a soft inner and hard outer so it was possible to cut the back out of the inner part to leave room for the extra bulk and still allow the solid outer part to fit.

Got mine naked. Feels sooo good!
Hold it tight at all times, especially when I took a video on a roller coaster the other day - that was a scary 2 minutes!!

The one time I took mine out of it's flip case last night, I dropped it and now the back and the sides are chipped :( Although they are only small I felt genuinely upset, as I've only had it for two weeks

mine is in a case until i buy my warranty, im not a huge fan of cases, but i found a relatively thin case that looks nice. i hate screen protectors more than anything though, will never use one of those

ALWAYS! I work outside for part of my job and I know I've saved phones in the past from drops and dirt/dust with a case. I'll take it off periodically to clean the phone and the inside of the case to keep everything nice and clean, but I'm just not able to afford to take a chance with a naked phone.

no case.
waiting for my ebayed screen protector to arrive in the mail
(sorry, not paying $10 for some packaging australia :()

Naked... phone in cases ewwww. I have never seen one case that looks good on a phone. Infact I have never seen a nice case

I occasionally go caseless but while most everyone uses a case for protection reasons, I also use it because the GS3 feels almost too wide and thin without it. I don't feel confident in my grip of it to risk it and that's because of its shape.

No case here. I am actually willing to risk denting/chipping/cracking/shattering rather than ruining the perfect form factor of this phone by slopping a case on it.

I toyed with the idea of buying one of those TPU Bumpers that only cover the periphery of the device, but even they junk up the look of this phone.

Naked for sure. I love the look and feel of it that way, and I despise screen protectors. Had my DX for 2 years and never got a scratch so I am not worried about it. However I am going to buy the 2 pack of slim cases from Samsung for $20 simply so it doesn't slide out of my work pants at work. Sometimes the phone gets dangerously close to sliding out because the back is so slick and my work pants and suit pants...pockets aren't the best for such a thin and slick phone. But other than that, always naked

totally naked. I hate cases, too big and bulky. Screen protector, dont see the point. I had one on my Captivate for a short time but eventually it became annoying and removed it.

I've owned four phones over the past two years and I can honestly say that I've dropped everyone of them at one point or another. I'm pretty careful, but things happen. Like for example, two months ago my cat jumped onto my desk and knocked my old Rezound right off it. Fortunately, none of the drops did any damage because I had cases on all of them (except the D3).

That's why even though I really don't like cases, I'll put up with one since my track record says I'll probably drop the phone at some point. Because the S3 is so big, I went with the thinnest case I could find, which was the Rearth Rinkgo Slim Lite. Love it so far. Btw, you can get just the case from amazon for about half the price. I went with the kit because I needed a screen protector as well.

I got an initial SGS3 sent from Verizon and within the first few hours I noticed a scratch on the screen, even though I hadn't dropped or damaged it. I'm not sure if it came that way (and I just didn't notice it initially) or it scratched against a key in my pocket, but I basically called Verizon and asked them to send me a new one, which they did. While I was waiting for that one to arrive, I was sitting outdoors in a restaurant and the phone slipped out of my shorts pocket and fell on the concrete floor face down...and then my initial small scratch was dwarfed by a long crack running horizontally across the screen. I was pretty horified and became worried that I just bought-into a very fragile phone.

Prior to this phone, I had the Fascinate for almost two years, went completely naked, and despite the occasional drop, the screen never cracked once. My fear before purchasing the SGS3 was that it would be too big, but I was sold by it's sleek form factor and its light weight. I imagined that if anything the SGS3 would be more durable since it was a newer generation by the same company. So I decided to purchase it never contemplating that I'd need a case or screen protector.

I got the new shipment from Verizon Monday and I'm still not sure if the first phone I got was defective or if the SGS3 is just incredibly fragile. I started with a full-body condom (screen protector and case) but I quickly got irritated with the lack of screen responsiveness. I also hated the hazy/humid look that a protector creates and began to wonder why I'd drop over $200 on a phone with a sick screen if I'm just going to stick a rubber on it. Finally, the dark layer of the screen protector forced me to compensate by turning up the brightness, which only further drained my battery. SO, I am now going with a rubber case and no screen protector.

I think I will keep it on at work (when I can throw it in my suit jacket-pocket) or when I've got deep pockets like cargo shorts, but will strip the case when I'm going out for the night and want to be lower profile (unfortunately, this is usually when my recreational affinity for alcoholic beverages increases my likelihood of the incidental drop). But knowing myself, I guess it's only a matter of time before I start going totally commando 24-7.
