Would someone please give me a quick explanation about these referral codes on how to get them and how to use them and what's the advantage ( probably some savings ) ?

These are used on new activations. The person who is activating a phone uses one of the codes and is given a $25 credit. The persons code that they use also gets a $25 credit. It's a win-win for both. :D
