Help Anyone having issues with USB

1. Install Anycut from the android market (it's free)
2. Open Anycut and select "New Shortcut"
3. Now click Activity
4. Scroll down the list of activities until you see "Select COM Port Mode" and click it. Just hit ok to accept the default name
5. You will see a "shortcut created" notification. Go back to your homescreen and look for the new shortcut
6. Once you click the new shortcut you'll see three radio buttons. Simply change to Mass Storage.

I find any micro USB cable works fine on my PC at work. However, my PC at home (using same cables and same OS - Win 7) I dont get anything to recognize. No mouning as a CD - nothing.

Any thoughts? Can I "reset" my USB connection at home somehow?

Thanks!

When is the last time you rebooted the PC?

I reboot daily. I think its more involved than that but thanks.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the drivers at home but I constantly see a yellow exclamation mark in Device Mnager (Win 7) for "ADB".

My work PC has no such icon and connects everytime.

Is anyone here able to reliably use the USB synch? I thought I had the problem solved but after I make any setting changes after a factory restore when I plug the cable in I get three error tones from the PC and the phone only charges. A factory reset will get the USB synch working every time but always breaks again with any setting changes. Not app installs, not rooted, just changing the wallpaper, display timeout, etc. causes the failure. Anyone? Should I swap for a new one?

I did the same thing, factory reset my phone via CWM and it did allow the USB sync to work but since time it will not properly connect via usb to my computer.

I tried several computers: Work (XP), Laptop (Macbook Pro), desktop (Vista), and a coworkers (Win 7) laptop.

I'm going to try the Anycut method and see if that works.
Tomorrow is my last day for a refund/exchange

I thought I would suggest that for some of you users, if not all of you, having problems with getting USB working it *could* be that the 2gb SD card is going bad. I do not run Windows on my computers at home, but at least for now replacing the SD card with a PNY one has solved the problem for me.

Quite possible, I had thought about that.

I did manage to get it to link one last time, so I swapped the CWM recovery with the stock recovery and returned mine today (final day of my 30 day window).
Hopefully Moto releases some better batches in the future and then I may consider re-buying :)

Just throwing this out there... my Triumph won't charge unless its turned off... crazy, right? I called Virgin up... my replacemet free phone will be here in a week! yippee! especially cause I got a crapload of dust under the screen.... :) it should be noted that my phone would not connect with Windows 7 64 bit, so Im not sure what the problem is... ALthough, using an USB cord from a mifi strangly worked.
