they are opening at 8!
 
Just got a call from Best Buy in West Hollywood. They are no longer telling people to simply come in any time between Friday morning and Sunday, they are now doing appointments. I'll be picking mine up right at 8:00. They also told me they had about 70 pre-orders.

See you there! Just got the call too. Same time for me. I may get there around 7/730, since there's a Starbucks in that complex.

Maybe they were only nice to me since it was the launch party haha :D. I'm sick of the rebates so I am getting it from RS this time.

That's pretty much how it'll be for me tomorrow morning too! At first I thought I'd be a little late to work, but if I get out of there early enough, I'll be right on time.
 
I didn't pre-order. Need to TOL a SERO line on my account to another person in-store when I get back to LA next week. Earliest I can get 2 EVOs on a family plan will be after I do the TOL (8th or 9th). Hopefully I can find a couple of EVOs at a Best Buy or RS somewhere in LA next week. Please keep the thread updated with what you hear about availability at your local BB or RS when you goto pickup your phones. Thanks!

Actually, I intend on asking about more "shipment" tomorrow anyway. If the other family member that's on my account wants an EVO as well (after seeing my phone), I may have to place another order.

From what I've seen people say, at other Best Buys, they're already taking pre-orders for the 2nd shipment.

I just got a call and he said from 6-9am they are giving 15% off so I'll be there bright and early :D.
 
I live closest to the BB at the District in Tustin, CA. Within a 10 mile radius, I think there's at least another 5 BBs. However, I already placed my order online =)

Yeah, too bad there's no 4G in the OC yet =(
 
We got ours at Sam's Club in Gardena, CA. Walked in at 7am, no one else was there the entire time until we left at 7:50ish.

btw, we did not pre-order, but did get on a waiting list.

BB West Hollywood took forever cuz Sprint's system wasn't working right. 1.5 hours after my 8am appointment and I came out of there with my EVO (not even opened...they didn't mind me just taking it and setting up on my own...they just activated the phone to make sure it's connected to my primary line). Also bought the $40 package deal with case, car charger and invisishield.

Anybody in L.A. want to buy an extra Invisible shield?
 
just picked mine up an hour ago at the downtown store on Wilshire (Grand) - there were 3 or 4 folks looking at it and another guy getting one when I did - she said they still had some but expected to sell out soon, so if anyone is downtown and didn't pre-order you may want to try there.
 
Got one from Radio Shack in Toluca Lake w/out preorder. Got there at 8:45am and was there for more than an hour b/c the computers were running slow. If anyone is near the area and wants an Evo they had one left as of 10:30am.
 
Got mine also took an hour because of Sprint's great activation system! Put my invisibleshield on and everything is going great. Love the phone.
 
I LOVE MY NEW PHONE!!! Me and My Boyfriend both got our EVO's from the Compton BB! It did take about an hour & half But we did get the $30 package deal with the invisible shield and car charger! + $7.99 to install shield! We then went to the Sprint in the South Bay Galleria mall and picked up the Rasberry and Black Gel sleeves! When we went to the sprint store at around noon there was nobody in the store! The rep said no one really knew that they opened early and they didnt have no rush or anything! So if you need one you may want to try their store! :) The best buy in Compton sold out of all their EVO's! :) I'm so glad we preordered!!! Still waiting for my data services to be activated though! We ported out #'s from TMO so it is taking awhile.
 
Well, after going out to breakfast this morning, my wife and I brought our EVO's home and started customizing them. My 12yo daughter, who just got a Rumor Touch a couple of weeks ago, asked to try one out and was HOOKED!! (I told her when we got the Rumor to wait for the EVO, but nooooo...)

So, we drove to the Manhattan Beach Sprint Store, got on the list, waited about 20 minutes and traded in her Rumor Touch for a brand new EVO!! So, that's 3 of us with them now.

btw, if you go to the MB Sprint store, be sure to check out the puppies next door! :D
