Anyone in the UK got their Nexus One yet?

I see, I'm trying to find one that ships from the UK on Ebay. Would a palm pre charger work? I assume since it charges from USB it doesn't really matter when it comes as I can charge up from my PC. And also so long as the end fits it will use the same standard USB voltage / ampage.

If it's got miniUSB on one end, it'll work.

I believe that the chargers may vary in the ampage outputted, which'll mean a slower/faster charge depending on what you're using. But none of them will make your phone blow up. Which is nice.

Yes, as USB is a standard you should be able to use any. My blackberry charger and generic car charger are fine with my N1.

I did a little research. Palm Pre data cables work in the Nexus one so I've got Pre USB charger ordered.

That is so strange that I can't find the Mystique game - found a barcode for it somewhere which doesn't work. Maybe I need a sim card for paid apps to appear as I haven't seen a single one. Can someone just pick a random paid app that they can see on their market to see if I can find it?

Try searching for "FeedR" or "FeedR News Reader" as full name. Very popular RSS reader that costs $0.99 . If you haven't seen ANY paid apps so far then something is definitely wrong.. I remember seeing them everywhere from the start, quite sure it was even before I put a sim card in. Maybe a setting somewhere?

Oh dear, no sign of that app. Hopefully my sim will arrive tomorrow and I can pop it in and see what happens. Failing that, I will just shove my old contract one in. I've had NetCounter running since last night and it shows me as having used 45.85MB through wi-fi, and the old contract has 50MB included, so perhaps just doing it to check the apps can't hurt.

I might even get mine delivered on monday morning! iA!

Put the sim in already! Get the app NetSentry or Network Monitor to check if the phone is using any mobile data transmissions.. The phone SHOULD automatically choose Wifi if it's available (so it says on the manual!) so if it doesn't there's a serious flaw! I've been using my phone frenetically (130Mb downloaded on wifi) and still only 232 Kb on mobile data and that was for trying the mobile data out when I was out of range of any wifi.

By the way, for those of you having mobile data on, are you getting a connection anything better than GPRS? I'm not.. Tried tons of different APN settings

Sounds like you'll definitely have it today! Shouldn't take more than a few hours from EMA to your doorstep.

I went into network settings and then APN and set up two new APNs the first for 3G only...

Name o2
APN mobile.o2.co.uk
Username vertigo
Password password
MCC 234
MNC 10

Leave all the other entries blank. Save that APN and create another called o2 mms:

I have received MMS and a great 3G signal since getting the device. If anyone needs help with UK APNs from any other network let me know..

Well that blows. Are you using the UK DHL tracking service or the USA one? I had both mine open at one stage as they show slightly different data. Or perhaps it's just the wording.

I found it was fun until I stayed up til 3am on occasions hoping for an update. I was usually rewarded though, so perhaps it was worth it! I like to feel intense monitoring of the situation will inform a psychic DHL employee who will hear our urgency and put the parcel to the front of the line
