Root Anyone know good setting for setpcu?

Rooted and Rom-ed... Now its time to overclock this bi*ch! Anyone knows good settings for setpcu? Im new to overclocking so I would appreciate it.

It also can depends on the phone, and the kernel your using.
Some phones can't go over 1.8GHz
Plague kennels tend to be able to go higher than blitzkrieg, but that's because blitz kernels were undervolted to use less power. If you want to reach 2.0 (if your phone is able, not all phones are the same) go with plague. If you don't want that much, and prefer longer battery, go with blitzkrieg.

After you've made your decision, open your oc app (setCPU, ROM toolbox, etc) change your speeds to what you want, but do NOT check the set on boot box until after your sure your phone can handle that speed

Side note: I know plague kernels have hdmi fixed, does anybody know if was blitz fixed too?

Settings that I have which help save my battery are the following....
max is 1200 and min is 245. I created profiles as well. Click on the profile tabs and add the following.
Charging AC 652max/122min Priority 100
Charging USB 652max/122min Priority 100
Temp>41.1C 652max/122min Priority 100
Charging 652max/122min Priority 100
Screen Off 245max/122min Priority 100

I have had to lag or any problems with these settings and it will help increase how long your battery will last.

Well... I do wanna save battery life but i will be mostly streaming video and downloading video and tethering... does that make a difference? And the phone is the esteem. Thanks guys. And I have the plague kernel.

Anyone else? A little more info, I have an extended 1800 battery, Im using The GSE rom with The Plague Kernel, and im all about streaming video and desktop browser surfing.

It would most likely run a little faster or smoother if you had your main profile set higher than 1200max. Just play around with the settings for the main and see what you like. Just make sure to not check set on boot or that could cause you a lot of problems. I was able to run mine smoothly at 1800max but it chews up the battery really fast. 1200 seems good for me.

Mine are set to 1.8 max/576 min always.

This setting keeps my battery temp respectable(Average 75-80F)

Found that when I ran constantly at 1.9 battery life suffered as well as some random reboots due to a high battery temp:eek:

Mine is set thusly:

main: 1516 max 245 min
Temp > 44 C: 921 max 245 min priority 70
In call: 1024 max 245 min priority 70
screen off: 576 max 245 min priority 60
charging: 1305 max 245 min priority 50
battery < 45% 1024 max 245 min priority 40
battery < 75% 1305 max 245 min priority 30

all are ondemand. Smartass doesn't always stick for me on the main profile. Interactive doesn't seem to be available on the blitzkrieg kernels.

I know some set the min a tad higher but I haven't had a problem with the phone waking up. My battery life is improved but not as high as some report. I could probably go about 10-12 hours without a charge but I always charge it anyway when I have a chance so I don't have to worry about it.

I recommended not setting the min lower than 245mhz, courtesy of PG.

I think the reasoning has to do with the phone (possibly) not waking up or lagging when a call comes in. I have had that problem with other phones so I didn't try going too low with this one. YMMV :)

Ok what about higher than 245? Forgive all the questions, im new to this.
