Root Anyone know what these fc's are?

I just flashed kings blue haze gbv10, which is based off evervolv. From the minute i flashed it i keep getting fc's i dont recognize, which is generally not a good thing, when im not running any apps myself. I get com.htc.bg and app htc dm (com.htc.android.omadm.service) what are these? can i freeze them safely?

Edit: They only pop up at boot. They pop up like 3 times a piece then i never see them till i reboot again...

Did you make sure to wipe everything or use Caulkin's before you flashed it?

I am going to give that one a shot tonight also....I will see if I have any issues after flashing it.

Calkulin's format all isn't *that* necessary. Basically ever ROM update script out there wipes /system before it does anything else. That being said, have you tried reflashing the ROM? Did you wipe data/cache/dalvik before flashing it? Did it start doing this at the first boot up before restoring anything?

Yeah I wiped data/cache/dalvik and reflashed got the same errors. Im thinking maybe it was the gapps version i grabbed? Do i need a specific gapps version other than gb? there wasnt one under the link in the OP and someone else put one up a few pages down the line so i grabbed it but no go. Im curious if I would have gotten those errors without gapps installed. Yes it happened just after flashing before I had reinstalled anything. No one knows what those processes are?

Edit: Xtremedays, how did your flashing experience go? I liked the rom but I was having too many bugs, unable to download things from market, if it downloaded it would fail to install and the process fc's. which is why i was thinking it was related to my gapps because of the market issues. There was some other weird stuff too.

I don't think those processes are gapps related, but you can definitely have weird problems if you flash the wrong one (mostly just bootloops). Did you try just flashing it without gapps? Sometimes you have to boot up after flashing the ROM, but before flashing gapps, as well. If did get the wrong gapps, I can find the right one for you.

I did not try without gapps, i wanted to try 2.3 so i flashed cm7 nightly 12. Interestingly i found the dm app that was causing some fcs on evervolv is removed and titanium batch does not reinstall it on cm7. Must be a sense program...?

Probably, but you should never use titanium backup to restore anything beyond maybe a few apps when going between sense and AOSP and vice versa. You're bound to break something.

even if i install app only? also i had not used titanium to reinstall any apps on evervolv, this happened from first boot. I did however install some apps onto cm7 from titanium but did app only and installed data for my games separately. I obviously go through and uncheck KNOWN incompatible apps, though it is conceivable that i miss some like dm because i have no idea what it was. Somehow TB catches it...No issues yet...

Edit: Actually I deselect all and then install apps i know i want that are missing, the rest i hope came with the rom, for instance i dont reinstall any apps like camera or market installer or vending or anything because im not sure if the different revisions are compatible with the rom, i assume the rom combined with gapps has everything i need except market apps I have backed up.

Yeah, it's fine to restore apps, and even app data in some cases. It's mostly system data you want to avoid.
