anyone not getting the "wow" factor?

My personal phone is an LG Envy Touch and work provides a BlackBerry Tour. Yeah, I'm stoked for this phone.

Mine is sitting at home. I am at my parents house 650 miles away. Mom is having a heart cath tomorrow morning and being here was more important than being at my home to greet the FedEx person.

Maybe I can get my wife to overnight it to me

Wrong-----to me it feels cheap.

How exactly does it feel cheap?

It is light, but it's also pretty dang solid. You can tell everything is packed in tight.

Cheap is my old Dell laptop that had very soft plastic and plenty of space in between parts, allowing you to bend certain areas. That is cheap. This phone uses light materials that may be a bit more fragile than your average phone, but it still feels well constructed in your hand.

Coming from the Moto Droid I get the wow that I thought was missing at times. I like the form factor, Sense UI, AMOLED, camera, smoothness with the Snapdragon. It blows everything else away! I have been using it for a little over a week and LOVE it.

I remember as a kid going to see "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" cause it was BBLLOOOWWWNNN up as such a great movie and I was SOO excited to see a movie that had late breaking technology in it (humans and cartoons together was big then!), then I saw the movie and went "eh, it was ok".

How dare you.

You guys are really scaring me. Good thing I'm getting mine at best buy and have free exchanges for 30 days.

I'm also coming from a BB Curve. What have you been impressed with the most? How's the touchscreen for typing texts? I'm used to the BB keyboard so I'm assuming there will be some adjusting to.

I'm coming from a BB Tour. So far I am very impressed. I am still adjusting to the keyboard, although I like it overall. Also, the battery life doesn't seem great so far, but I'm sure the battery just needs to be conditioned. So far, it's been a GREAT upgade. :D

I have the wow factor going right now. as soon as the opened the box yesterday i was like "wow....this thing is sexy". Then once i started playing with it, customizing it, and adding apps i was very impressed. Grant it, im coming from the LG Dare, but i do have a bit of a wow factor. theres only 2 gripes i have that aren't even really the phones fault:
1.The voice on Google Maps sucks....but i don't think theres much that can be done about that. But on the plus side i can cancel my VZ Nav. And it did get my home from the FedEx warehouse so that was good
2. I can't get all my email services, only Gmail is working. But i know this is cause yahoo requires their plus service to do what i want. so it no fault of the phone

Overall i must say im very happy with it. GREAT screen, very responsive(comparing to a N1 i have at work), and loving the Android OS with Sense.

I'm very impressed, but not wowed like I was when I got my first iPhone. Having used a touch screen device for two years, I believe that I'm simply used to all of the amazing things that can be done on a touch screen.

I really like the Incredible, it reminds me of a bigger, really fast Eris, with a much larger and detailed screen.

The only negatives so far are battery life (which I hope gets better as the battery is conditioned), and the absence of being able to have a different picture on the lockscreen, than the one used for wallpaper.

you can have 2 different pictures you just have to go and change it. I have a different lock screen picture than my background picture.

I have a palm centro w/ no data plan... its an educated phone but definitely not a smart phone.

Just with the data plan and bigger screen this thing is like going from Ford Focus to a Mustang GT500...

People need to relax and stop jumping on the opinions of others. If someone says "it feels cheap to me", then great, that is his or her opinion. Responding and saying "OMG you n00b!" serves no purpose at all.

Some people will have very high thoughts of the device, and others won't. These are personal opinions, not decrees from the government. Relax!

I received my phone yesterday, just started playing with it today. Coming from a BB curve (8330) this phone is 150% awesome. That's right. 150%. This phone is so fast, so easy and so incredible. Its amazing.

I am coming from the Blackberry Storm 1...so a rock with a piece of chewing gum stuck to it would be a "wow" factor for me! My Inc is on the fedex truck now, and on it's way to my house! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I just sold my Eris with 2.1 on it so I could get the Incredible. I hope I am wowed by it. The software will be the same so I am a little worried I won't get the wow factor :(

Lol just because its lighter than an iphone and has a soft touch back doens't make it cheap...

Jesus people, since when did we want carry a brick in our pockets?

Its obvious this thing is a quality device

Obvious??? how is it obvious? Its been available to a few select people for a week and the others are getting it today. How is it obvious that this thing is a quality device? I will admit that after having a Droid for so long I am use to a good solid phone......but I am giving the DI a chance for a bit. Its not a bad phone but there is nothing obvious about it yet!

I came from a curve as well, and I will just say this phone rocks! love how fast this phone is! the phone call quality is great compared to my curve and coming from the curve you will find typing on this screen easy, even if you mess up the auto correct works great.
I have been impressed with the whole experience so far!

The touch screen is excellent, especially when combined with SWYPE! The screen is very sensitive, in fact it may take a little bit to get used to just how sensitive it it and there is NO LAG when typing/swyping.

Wow factor is an understatement! Even the gal at the Verizon store was amazed when I took it in yesterday... she thought I had gotten it via corporate espionage or something and she handed me her phone (I didn't recognize it since I am coming from a long line of WinMo devices) but she was trying to get me to help her make her droid go nearly as fast as the Inc. When I left she was on the phone ordering one.

Coming from a Storm2 here. I actually can surf the web now! I can actually get some descent apps! This thing is awesome!

Lol the droid is a brick compared to this thing. I dont even know how much extra weight the physical keyboard adds.

My point is, just because it feels light and not like a brick doesn't mean its not a solid device.

Go back to your droid if you feel that strongly about it.
