Root Anyone noticing some slowness after root?

I am noticing some slowness when I hit my top button to come out of sleep, and also just browsing stuff...

Nothing insane, but it is kinda of noticeable...

I did notice that. I restarted my phone and it seems to be beving normally now.

yeah, my quadrant scores went from the 1300-1350 range down to the 800-1000 range. this is after multiple reboots, and running the benchmark multiple times.

Even did a factory reset, and it still is slower then before. noticed the app drawer is a bit jerky as well

My quadrant score was 1256 before root and 1248 after. Negligible change for me. Curious...do you have the .614 update? I don't have it available yet.

Don't see any noticeable difference here. Nothing scientific mins you-- using 3d app drawer on Launcher pro and still smooth.

I was running my rooted x all day , try to shut off the phone for a reboot , and now it stuck on the droid "eye" on boot up .... any suggestions?

Did you delete any of the software that came with the phone?

yeah i removed a few of the apps using titanium back up .

only thing i noticed is drop box isnt working now


uninstall-ed then reinstalled and works fine now

I performed a hard reset just prior to rooting
quadrant scored ~1250
rooted
quadrant scored ~650
reboot
quadrant scored ~1250

Not sure I am new to all this, sorry to hear . Try this thread as it seems someone else had their phone go dead on them & they were helping him out. I would ask someone there. Good luck.

Same for me. Was getting 1250 steadily now it's 850-1000. Reboot didn't help. It hangs at the database write part of the test for quite a while. Overall performance seems fine but the benchmark did drop. I never even bothered to check until seeing this thread so I wouldn't really call it a noticeable performance loss.

I was getting around a 1279 average with several tests (not just today) and have done 2 after a rooted reboot and they were 1281 and 1271.

I got 1277 after root. Dont remember what it was before root.

Running more than one test, its anywhere between 1220's and 1260-1270.

The only thing you can base your scores on is your own phone. Every phone is different.

1301 after root, average score 1270 before, I noticed there are still quite a few apps running at startup after I rooted. I think quadrant score is heavily dependent on available ram......
