Anyone received the new Play Store update?

Anyone got a link to the dark one? I have most of my apps set that way. Much easier on my eyes (and battery and LEDs) :)

The dark version is 4.0.24? This is now 4.0.25 - and would need to be modded to be dark before you can grab it. Aka there is no 'fixed' dark version, yet ;)

Once you mod an official app, it changes the MD5 or CSC signature, this gets picked up and designates the mod as unofficial - thus un-updateable over the air via google

Ah right. But cant i just download the dark modded one and not care about it bein updated? :)
oops i just re-read soz mate. I understand now :)

You could buy it wouldn't be the 'fixed' version.

Someone will probably theme the 4.0.25 version and then you can just use that for full functionality ;)

I got it a week ago but I am not really fond of it. I think that they are targeting a "flat" design, very similar to "Google Now" but it does not really work aesthetically for me. It may look better on tablets, but it looks "cheap" on the cell phone.

I'm not sure about what you mean by flat. Even the previous design was flat, wasn't it? At least that's how remember it.

Anyway, all these redesigns are probably leading to a similar experience for all Google services.

I don't understand...unless I'm reading you wrong...if I install a modded Playstore apk, it will not get updated OTA?
The reason I ask is, I am running a theme that has a bunch of apps modded including the PlayStore app. A couple days ago, the new PlayStore got pushed to my phone and auto updated.
I hated the new look and proceeded to flash another modded Playstore here:

All is well now, but do I need worry about another update being pushed to my device, thereby undoing my what I currently have?

Yeah i think thats the problem mate. I dont think theres an app you can disable to prevent it updating like there was with Market.
Cheers for the link btw :)

I did, but prefer the previous version. The font IMO is too big. Seems better suited for the G1 display days.

Lovin it in black :)

Wife and I bought new S3s last night at the AT&T store. We are both running the same version of Android except she has the update and I do not? Go figure.
