Anyone thinking about returning and holding out for the Shadow?

nope. i don't want a keyboard or another Motorola.

Shadow doesn't have the physical qwerty, the Droid 2 does. And I held out for this phone, it is exactly what I wanted and what I need. The Shadow has a lot of promise but in the end it will be too big for my liking or needs.

i thought of it for about 20 seconds. It's not possible to keep up with all the best/newest phones that come out. We all chose quite wisely with the Inc!

Ok then. Answers that question. Still interested to see what its all about though. I'm still new to the Android scene so all these new toys to play with kind of gets me excited - WHOA! :p

I'm entertaining that idea (slightly). Was just wondering if anyone knows which of these two companies is BETTER when it comes to the "QUALITY" of their products.

Actually, I feel that one of the weaknesses of the HTC Incredible, which I love, is the CDMA radio. My experience with Motorolas (Q, Q9m, and Q9c) is that Motorola's strength is in its radios.

Although I'm not going to return my Inc., I would expect the Motorola to have a better radio - which means better battery life, especially in weak signal areas.

At least give reasons...

Here is my list of reasons why I will not return my incredible (that doesn't arrive in the mail till tomorrow, haha) for the shadow.

  1. Like the EVO, the screen is to large for my taste
  2. I left my droid cuase its manufacturing flaws. I had 5 different Droids in 6 months. Motorola may of learned from their mistakes with the Droids production, but I still don't trust them. They need to earn my trust back.
  3. There aren't enough hardware differences between the Incredible and the Shadow. So it really comes down to what screen size you want.
  4. HDMI is nice and all but i'll never use it.
  5. The Shadow would be much better with vanilla android. Blur is not really that great of a package and is really just a widget or two and a funny launcher bar. The stock 2.2 launcher is nicer anyways. I prefer Sense to Blur
  6. If i'm going to get another phone, its not going to be till next May. (I bought my Incredible with a one year contract). by that time, Verizon will have LTE android phones which will be a good enough reason to upgrade.
  7. By the time the shadow comes out, there will be a better phone. No reason to waste your money constantly upgrading phones. Be patient, its a virtue, I think.

when i sit my Droid next to my Inc the signal strength is pretty much the same. the bars may not show the same, but when i look at the actual number they are within 2-3db of each other.

Nope not a chance....Motorola hasn't made a "quality" phone since the Q series (Loved my Q9h on ATT, last phone I had before switching to big RED).

I thought about it but I really don't like blur. The specs aren't that different either (aside from the bigger screen) so it wouldn't make much sense.

I'm thinking about it...
The CPU is supposed to be as fast as the Snapdragon, but the GPU is a lot faster.
