Help Anyone tried the DLNA media streaming?

The video quality was great on my ps3 but it seemed like it had to stop every couple seconds. Not sure if it was just my connection or what.

Can't figure out how to stream my phone-shot video through my PS3. Only says it's "unsupported data," when selected and won't play.

You'll have to complain to Sony about that, really. Sony has put a pretty limited number of codecs natively on the PS3. I haven't gone to the effort to figure out exactly what format the Epic records in, but I'm guessing it's not THAT esoteric. Android could have the ability to encode in a different format and that might be a pretty good basis for an app.

I use Java PS3 Media Server on my home media server and my phone connects to it just fine and streams anything I want. It also works flawlessly to transcode on the fly for my PS3 and is completely configurable to account for lag and slower networks. I haven't tried to stream anything from my phone to a PC or the PS3, mainly because I can't think of any valid reason to do that.

Works great for me.

Streaming from Phone to TV works great.
Streaming from PC to Phone works great.
Streaming from PC to TV works most of the time (still fiddling with Win7/media center settings to make it painless)

the only thing I can't play... are those darn digital copies of movies, they don't play nice with streaming, but that's a whole other issue... :(

What about videos u take with ur phone? I have a samsumg vibrant and samsung HD tv and can only see pics and music but not videos. They all freeze after one second. Any suggestions out there??.

On allshare I am having no trouble playing anything (avi, mkv etc) from Epic to several WDTV Lives in home or car, but I am not having luck with my WHS either native or through playon to the epic. Is there a resource/group/forum for allshare specifically?
