Root Anyone used Kernel Manager?

Dibs

Well-Known Member
Having flashed my first ROM, I've read up about changing the Kernel and seen that the ManU HAVS AXI 1.4 is widely recommended.

I've seen on Kernel Manager that I can just download and flash this kernel - is there anything I should be wary of, especially after the warnings of ROM manager...

Anyone used it before? Is it simply a case of hiting 'Download & Flash' then re-booting (I presume the app will do that automatically?).

Thanks.

You don't need Rom manager. You don't need kernel manager.

Download everything your self and flash everything yourself, its easy enough.

Use Dibs manager

Do you just download the kernel as a zip onto the SD card, then flash it in recovery?

im not a fan of any of this manager business as the dev will no doubt get bored and old legacy stuff that causes problems will remain.

im pretty sure it will suffer the same failings as rom manager

download it yourself manually, boot to recovery and flash it (back up first)

Fair enough... these kind of apps seem like a goldmine for us noobs, but ultimately it helps to know what you are doing...

I've looked on XDA and only see a thread about the kernels, where can I download the zip?
