Anyway to change the typing noise?

menu>settings>language and keyboard>click on the keyboard you are using (or change them all) uncheck "sound on keypress"

you don't have to be rooted to do this

I think he meant he wants to change the clicking noise to something else.

His instructions are correct except for the path, its menu/settings/language and Keyboard/touch input settings/text input/...un-check sound feedback option. This will remove the clicking sound when typing.

can be changed from either location (on mine anyway) :p

as for changing the sound itself..I am sure that it can be done on a rooted phone by getting into the system files and changing the sound file but I am no where near that level of customization right now
