hi vincentallen2,sorry for the delay in posting here, brian asked me to have a look a couple days ago... but its been a busy couple days!
as for why no s-off,i dont have a real good answer to that, other than the amount of people with this phone is considerably less than with others,so the number of devs working on it are considerabley less as well.
also seems that most of the threads i encounter when searching(i almost picked one up a few weeks ago) that there is for the most part no demand. the threads ive looked at pretty much all started with "how can i get s off" and ended with "you dont need it,htcdev unlock is just as good"
i have no idea if this device has write protection on hboot, and the memory block where the "lock status flag" lives. if hboot is unprotected,it seems it should be possible to flash achieve hboot s-off,or enginerring s off with the install of a patched or eng hboot. we will have to research that and see what we can come up with.
in the mean time,if you wish to dump other partitions,we can scour them and look for the lock flag.
youll do this basically like you dumped mmcblk0p3. first you can enter a shell, and see what partitions you have numbered allready:
adb shell
cat /proc/emmc
that should spit out a list something like this:
Code:
root@android:/ #[COLOR="Red"] cat /proc/emmc[/COLOR]
cat /proc/emmc
dev: size erasesize name
mmcblk0p23: 000ffa00 00000200 "misc"
mmcblk0p22: 00fffe00 00000200 "recovery"
mmcblk0p21: 01000000 00000200 "boot"
mmcblk0p33: 67fffc00 00000200 "system"
mmcblk0p30: 00140200 00000200 "local"
mmcblk0p34: 0ffffe00 00000200 "cache"
mmcblk0p35: 97fffe00 00000200 "userdata"
mmcblk0p26: 01400000 00000200 "devlog"
mmcblk0p28: 00040000 00000200 "pdata"
mmcblk0p36: 27be00000 00000200 "fat"
mmcblk0p31: 00010000 00000200 "extra"
mmcblk0p17: 02d00000 00000200 "radio"
mmcblk0p18: 00a00000 00000200 "adsp"
mmcblk0p16: 00100000 00000200 "dsps"
mmcblk0p19: 00500000 00000200 "wcnss"
mmcblk0p20: 007ffa00 00000200 "radio_config"
mmcblk0p24: 00400000 00000200 "modem_st1"
mmcblk0p25: 00400000 00000200 "modem_st2"
you can prolly pretty safely skip those partitions when youre dumping.
after that, just entering the command, substituting "3" for the rest of the numbers:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p1
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p2
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p4
and so on,up to 31(ish)
then pull them one just as you did before:
adb pull /sdcard/mmcblk0p1
adb pull /sdcard/mmcblk0p2
etc.
or,just mount your sd card to the pc,and then you can drag a drop them all to the PC to zip and upload for us.
dont feel you have to do them all at once,it is pretty tedious dumping them,as the larger partitions can take a few minutes(definately skip "system" it takes foreeeeeva

) do them a few a day,or whatever,if you want
i will pm 2fast and see if he has anything useful to share.
we cant make any promises this will lead to somewhere, but we can certainly give it our best shot :smokingsomb:
