Root AOSP gps fix

I don't know how many of you tried this, but wow. I flashed this file this Sunday after downloading it Saturday. Wow. My gps picked up faster than ever, and more accurately than ever before.

For full disclosure though, I feel I should say I did get my first random reboot in quite a while. Not sure if it is related. It wasn't when I was using GPS, but I don't really know if somehow, someway they are related.

CM7. Tiamat 4.0.6 or .7 sbc.

Here's the link for all of my pals in this dimension. /*I'm using the recommened v1.1*/

I agree that GPS driver is $$$. For the reboots, i have read of people seeing this with 4.x tiamat kernels. Most users swear by the 3.3.7 kernel, myself included.

I second the 3.3.7 recommendation - while I was running CM7.1, it was the only one of the Tiamat versions that ran without problems.

Yeah I used to get caught up in the newer kernels, but 3.3.7 just flat out works. It doesn't lack in any quality as far as I'm concerned.

Well, I got the 4.0.6/7 when it first came out I think, and haven't changed anything on my phone in quite some time (weeks) until this driver. Just thought I'd put it out there for anyone who thought it might be an issue. It easily could have been anything...

But how about that GPS driver!!! Top-notch!

A couple months ago I was standing side by side with my buddy running MikG, I was running CM7 and this driver. His GPS would lock to 3 meters and mine was locking to 1 meter. It's no joke that it makes the GPS better than ever.

@Ocn, I was wondering that too... I've only seen it referenced to AOSP roms so far....
And I love the Evil Deadness you have going on with your avatar.

Bruce Campbell was a Famous "Bruce" on Jeopardy the other day ;)
