AOSP mod help

I'm currently running the AOSP 0.9.9.2 rom with Launcher Pro Plus on my htc hero and just have to say that I'm loving it. My only question is:

Is it possible to change the color of the notification/status bar like in CM6.1? I'm just not a big fan of the white bar, black looks waaaaay cooler.

Black is beautiful :D

Only if you use a different theme, such as TwoPointBlue AospMod and CM6.1 [RLS3] 12/27/2010

I actually like the white status bar, imo. If you like the black status bar, 2.3/GB is black.

What DonB posted is one of the better themes, nandroid>download>wipe Dalvik cache and cache>flash theme>reboot

Thanks for the input guys. That's about what I figured. So I'm eagerly waiting for GB to stabilize. Maybe I'll try those themes while I wait.

And nothing against the white bar or anything, I just prefer darker colors for my set up (black, grey) since most of my wallpapers are predominantly dark.

Personally I can't stand the Status Bar.
I hide it in LP's settings.
Have my clock and battery widgets on my home screen -
Have no issues with Signal in my area......

So just to test my understanding, in order to change the notification bar the entire theme has to be changed?

I'm with you, Scrubb. I'm not a fan of the white bar either.

That is correct, unless you want to edit the build, but you will have to have some coding experience
