Root AOSP music problems

Hello everyone,

I have ran multiple roms, both AOSP and Sense. I am currently running CM 7.0.2.1 (I think, the most recent stable release, 4/25). When I play music and turn off the screen, or move through the apps, the music skips. Some times it is rather bad. I have tried different third party music apps and the stock player. I also tried setting the cpu to performance to ensure the problem wasn't underclocking.

Any idea what is causing this? I have never experience this problem on any other rom.

Thanks for the help

Using the stock kernel? Have a screen off profile? What governor are you using?

I would suggest using some different kernels, this sounds like an issue that may be from the kernel. I would recommend tiamat nosbc for AOSP.

I am running tiamat 3.3.8 nonsbc, been running the kernal for a good while ....it runs great. I am running interactive 998 to 245. Screen off is conservative 245 to 449 or something like that. The problem persists even when I have set CPU set to performance at stock speed. Never seen this problem before, could it be a result from flashing the newest version?
