Which do you prefer and why?

I am torn between a couple aosp, a couple 2.1/3.0 and a couple 3.5 roms. Having difficulty picking one for a daily driver. So I was hoping for some opinions and info about what yall are using and why you like it.

i have been going back and forth on roms as well. i luv cm7 for its performance and its battery life. but these new sense 3.0 and sense 3.5 roms are pretty sweet as well. it would be better if i can get the same battery life that i do on aosp roms. really that depends on what you like. i'm digging the xplod rom right now. but i'm in the process of trying mik's supersonic3d rc1.2.

Yeah, I flashed CM7.1 last night. Need to let it settle and/or try some different kernels. Using Tiamat 4.0.8 right now, and my battery life was looking like 11.5 hours with 20% left, but that was very limited use. So not amazing, as I feel it would have been under 8 hours with even moderate use.

I am thinking about trying RC1.2 of miks supersonic3d as well. It doesn't have the quick launch widget thought right?

And I like the praise xplod is getting, and I did try it a couple weeks ago, but my battery life on it wasn't what I would expect of an aosp rom. But it is one of the ones I am also wanting to try.

give it a few days for the kernel to settle in, before deciding to move on. also are you trying the tiamat sbc kernel? i would if you have not yet. also some people have said the earlier versions of tiamat worked better for them.

and yes the supersonic does not have the quick launcher. only the runny-bliss hybrid b7 has it right now.

i hate it when roms go nightly like xplod. it is hard to keep up with the updates. a new version just went up. i need to flash that as well. gonna be a busy weekend for me.lol:(

damn it i hate being a flashoholic.

That's the problem with Rooting and ROMING. There are to many good looking, Stable, and Useful ROMS out there on both sides of the fence. I personally have grown more found of the AOSP roms. But I like the minimalistic approach. I want my OS to be what I want and not what some Corporate Lackee thinks I need. Guess thats to be expected from Linux Users :D

If you have bootmanager and can get the roms you want working from it that would probably be the easiest way to go then you could switch between them. As far as making a choice all I will say is Good luck to ya. I know in the end its going to be what you want the most thats going to determine your choice.

Yes I am using the sbc version. I tried 3.3.7 sbc when I was running xplod before because 4.0.8 boot looped for me.

I also seem to go back and forth on what I want. I like fun flashy eye candy roms. But then I realize how much of a resource hog they are so I switch to something more minimal, but then I usually get bored with it. Need to find a happy medium lol.

sounds like a flashoholic to me.:D

I really was into the 3D Rom that Evolved R3charged one. I enjoyed it but am now on the Xplod one. I do like it alot.
The things I miss from the Sense Rom are the great HTC clock/weather widget. Love that thing with the animations on.

I've yet to try CM7 so that is down the road.

There is alot of variety for a phone that is EOL this month. I thank all of the Developers for the work.
Also loook forward to flashing ICS in the future.

Yeah thats me, lol

Xplod seems to be very pick when it comes to kernels for me. It does not like Tiamat 4.0.8 or 4.1.0(boot loop_, it will work with 3.3.7 though. I also just tried SZ 2.2.1 and it is stuck at the white HTC screen.

I'm digging the sawagged out stock! been my dd for over 2 weeks now. The batt life is comparable to the aosp roms I have tried, very good, it is fast and smooth as well....add the super charger script, and its as fast as a raped ape! lol

not sure but my thinking seems to go this way:
If an ape got raped would it be fast? It seems to me it wasn't fast enough to get away then it cant be very fast.

of course one could get way to involved in trying to figure this out.

I like them all!!! JK my daily is mikg because ive never had an issue with it and i use cm7 an the weekends ( still changing things on it) My battery with the stock kernel on mikg is 12 to 14hours wich works fine with me.
cm7 I havent ran long enuf to realy comment on battery life. I also nandroid back to xplode and mik3d once in a while just dont have a lot of free time right now. and when ever i do its flash flash flash and then nandroid!

Tiamat 4.1 is available but its not posted on the xda thread. Been out for a few days with the new lagfree governor introduced. I don't know much about it but from what I read it sounds like a modified conservative governor.
